Love that movie.

He doesn't have the speed or quickness of those two. I think he'll be a little better than White

He isn't beating Marshall in a foot race but he's plenty quick enough to run the read option. He played WR in high school before moving to QB as a junior. He's much faster than Sean White

I hope he taught him the intricate details of the twirl- action pass

Have we started a Stidham height discussion thread

He had better be a lot damn better.

He is. Don't bite the hook that is lazily wrapped with worms. Spoken from a non fisherman to a fisherman but maybe it got the job done...

I think he'll be a lot better passer. More arm strength.
How many times per game do you think he carries? Not counting sacks. White was sneaky good with the read, but he couldn't keep enough times to get them off Pettway. If Stidham can keep a few more times a game, he'll do a better job.

Stidham should be a sizeable improvement as a running threat than White but by no stretch is he entering Marshall/Cam territory
Stidham should have the ability to make teams respect /acknowledge him as a runner. Stretch to think he is going to be an integral part of our run offense

I don't think any of us know what he can do or how he can be used by our coaching staff. I see a lot of posts about him and how great he will be. I caution everyone to be careful with your expectations. We have been here before.
If we temper our expectations how will we melt?
New OC new DT style QB? WTF could possibly go wrong?

We may only win the championship by 14 points

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Stidham is listed as a dual threat QB by every single service and rushed for almost 30 TDs in high school. He's got the wheels to run the read option but there's no doubt he is a better passer. I think the biggest thing is defenses will have to respect the read option again with him which will help our offense out a lot next season

Half of the people on here will argue with a point even if they agree, lord help if someone disagrees. It's devil's advocate overload for sure, especially when they migrate to tRant.

My biggest question about Stidham is: "Can he slide?"
Seriously. Sean White does not know how to end a keeper play without hitting the ground hard or taking a huge lick. IMO, taught this skill alone, we would have won the Georgia game and at least had a decent showing in the Sugar Bowl.
