Auburn LB Deshaun Davis was asked about the young RBs' ability between the tackles: "Boobee brought it today. Boobee brought it in the spring, too." He also is impressed with the way Asa Martin is running.

All the "concern" at running back is slowly fading away.

The fact that Stidham had time to throw long/intermediate passes against our defense is a good sign.

Gimmicky Gus. Our D wasn't expecting it because they have never seen us do it.

Just wait until he fools them with a pass to the TE. Touchdown.

I don’t have a lot of concern about our RB group’s ability to move the ball down field and make big plays but with our line it’s scary to think about Kam and Boobee picking up extra defenders. Asa is probably the better blocker out of the three and he may see the field the least

I do until I see them do it on the field.

Will not be excited over a practice report.

I want to believe. I just cant yet. But looking forward to it.

They went about 100 plays inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Receiver Matthew Hill had a nice move and gain on a tunnel screen
Receiver Seth Williams took a pass 60 to 70 yards for a touchdown on a slant
Anthony Schwartz had an end-around run for 20 to 25 yards
They went live on field goal and field goal block for eight plays.
They went live on punt return five times.
There were three interceptions thrown. Two were good to great plays, one was a bad throw (Cord Sandberg). Jarrett Stidham did not throw an interception.
Traivon Leonard and John Broussard Jr. picked off the backup quarterbacks.
Defensive back Jayvaughn Myers had the play of the day with a great interception.
There were two penalties: one motion penalty on the offense, one interference penalty on the defense
There were no fumbles by the running backs. Kam Martin, JaTarvious Whitlow and Asa Martin split time pretty evenly during the scrimmage.
Asa Martin broke a tackle and to finish a run of 15-20 yards.
JaTarvious Whitlow had a nice outside-zone run for 10-15 yards.
Calvin Ashley was moving his limbs after injuring his head or neck. Details are scarce at the moment. He was taken to the hospital to be observed for precautionary reasons. Update: He was cleared at the hospital and released.
They’re trying very hard to get receiver Nate Craig-Myers more involved in the offense.
Starting cornerback Noah Igbinoghene sat out the scrimmage with an undisclosed injury he suffered earlier in preseason camp.
Receiver Marquis McClain sat out the scrimmage with an undisclosed injury. He has been limited for most of preseason camp.
Safety Jeremiah Dinson (shoulder) wore an orange, non-contact jersey today but did participate in some of the scrimmage. He injured his shoulder during A-Day in April but is expected to be OK for the season.
Jarrett Stidham look rusty after sitting out entire spring? Linebacker Deshaun Davis: "If you could see the scrimmage you would think he's practiced every day since the spring. They made some big throws down the field, particularly down the field."
Quarterback Joey Gatewood was live and eligible to be tackled today and we're told he was impressive in the scrimmage. He knew when to throw the ball, when to throw it away and when to tuck the ball and run.
Running back Shaun Shivers ran between the tackles today and was running incredibly hard. Some were surprised by how well he was taking hits and doling out punishment of his own at only 5-foot-7, 173 pounds.
One insider said it was obvious several freshmen are a step ahead of veterans in terms of athleticism. Whether that means they're actually going to play more than expected this upcoming season remains to be seen. Coaches tend to rely on experience more, if able, at the skill positions and the Tigers have that right now. Some big decisions are coming from the coaching staff.
It certainly appears receiver Matthew Hill is the standout player among the freshmen in preseason camp. He has been a devil to cover in the red zone.
Auburn threw a lot of deep balls. A lot of over-the-shoulder throws that were completed by Stidham. Freshmen Seth Williams and Shedrick Jackson combined for three to four of those catches.
Darius Slayton has “taken a huge step” forward in preseason camp, Stidham says.
“I hope we’re going to be very challenging for people to stop,” Stidham says.

Play the best available. I believe they will start frosh if they are elite enough to play.

we all know Gus values experience over talent. Slayton needs to be a back up but will be our number 1 Wr
