Does the SEC get gate share for tix/concessions on games like this? Does AU get a higher (than other member) share for being the participant?

I don't like it as a fan, but I don't know enough about these contracts.

We have multiple RICH as frick boosters... selling out for a couple million is just stupid. I fully expect to be playing in Saudi Arabia within the next 5 years.

That was a true neutral site, so I’d assume our ticket revenue share would be higher with this being a home game.

The UGA game was in Atlanta.

Ours is in Atlanta.

Never mind. I see where this counts as a home game so you’re right we should be getting 100% share.

Yes, but there was a true neutral game. Both teams got equal share of ticket allotments and sales. This is not that. We are the home team, get more allotment of tickets, and I’d assume a higher % of revenue share.

Hoke did an interview with Cohen.

Basically said what we already know.. balancing chasing the money and being sell outs vs home games. Mentioned he understands how moving games hurts the local community, but have to have the NIL money, so its a rock and hard place.

One thing I noticed though... Hoke brought up future home and home series and said he didn't think it was in the plan to move those and gave Cohen a chance to respond and he completely gave a PR answer.. That answer told me those games are absolutely on the table for being moved.

This is a horrible decision. Literally millions of dollars taken from the town of Auburn and neighboring communities.

What awful timing too. Who the hell decides to announce this now before a big game?

at that point it might be time to find another hobby.

Been hearing this from AU fans for almost a decade. How many actually follow through with it?

I can't speak for others, but I can for myself and if I get to that point its not a hard decision for me. I've cut out or cut back on other things the past few years as well.. UFC is mostly lame for the past few years, so I've been watching less MMA.. very little NBA unless an Auburn player is playing and I watch less and less NFL every year. If it wasn't for fantasy football I probably would have already stopped watching... I'll just go outside and find something else to do. Has freed up my schedule to get back into racing too, which has been nice. Shout out to the Indycar race in Bham, I'll try to be there next year.

One of the Locked On AU podcasts mentioned yesterday that it was "up to $5MM".

How they came to that conclusion or where that info came from...I couldnt tell you.

I will say that I dont like it.

I'm trending. Honestly, if my kid isn't a freshman at Auburn next fall, I'm done with the season tickets and the tailgate stuff. Not a lot of enjoyment in AU football recently.

I typed a big whiney manifesto, but deleted. Just super "meh" on AU football in its entirety.
