I think the fact of the matter is A&M looked like a team on a mission and we looked like a team that felt like they were owed something because they were the 1 seed. Got out worked for all but about 2 minutes.

Honestly I hope it was just them being entitled or thinking this was an automatic win because the alternative is much scarier. There’s no more room for wake up calls from here on out.

Our depth advantage dried up when Jaylin Williams and Cambridge became absolute zeroes.

100% this. Bruce usually rotates 9-10 guys and he just can't do it this year because we've had so many regress offensively. Cambridge used to be able to go off from 3 at times. Now I feel like every time he shoots it's a wasted shot.

I don’t think we really played better offense in the second half. Wendell doesn’t hit the 4 30 footers the game isn’t close and that still is of the slimmest portions of our offense. Heave and hope.

The thing about our offense is we have 3 or four dudes that can do what Wendell did.

We also have the rest that can do what KD did

JayWill is only playing 4-5 minutes a game it seems. Hard to blame
Him for anything. The 2’a and 3’s especially the 3’s are killing us. If KD is off like today we get nothing from the 2 or the 3 spots

Our depth advantage is a myth.

It was a thing early when Bruce was willing to take a chance on the bench. That’s been out the window since conference play started though. We played 10 today but 2 or 3 of them were complete non-factors.

Jabari is great.

Everyone else needs to focus on spacing for Jabari and shooting layups or dunks.

Y'all can hate KD Johnson all you want but I still believe in that dude and I'm glad we have him.

I think most are glad we have him too. We just need more consistency from him. 0-14 and 3 TOs is impressively bad.

Tied with 42 rebounds and won turnover battle.

Shooting was pathetic.

Just putrid.

Maybe rest will help, but we may slide to 3 seed line depending on other results.

Also guys are gonna have to adjust to physical games now. The reality is cash is king and these games are on fairly tight schedules, plus no one wants to watch a FT contest. Refs aren’t going to give them the calls their used to getting.

Even yesterday, the first game was a foul fest and it went way over, and after that they seemed to let thing ride more.

0-14.

IF he goes 4 of 14 with 2 threes…….

Trying to be positive.

We play to loose at times.

I doubt it. Baylor lost. Arizona lost a key player.

I don’t see any world where we fall to a 3 seed

Considering who all lost probably a 2 seed in the MW or south region. Tennessee could possibly bump us to a 3 seed if they win the tournament

Didn’t say anything about the team being dead or our future related to this game.

My biggest issue with this game was our overall effort. I just didn’t see it. Maybe that’s just me, but I don’t remember a single game this year where we look like the other team was out hustling us on both sides of the court.

That said, even the best teams have bad games… shite happens. Still think this team is talented enough to win the whole damn thing.

I agree for the first half. Effort was there for the entire second half even before we started making a little run. Came out looking a little bit entitled and this conference is simply too good for that.

It’s obvious what failed.

1. No inside drives from Wendell
2. No inside out jump shots would go down. I think our 2 pt shot % may have been as bad as our 3pt %.
3. We have to have either Greene or Johnson go on their scoring streaks.
4. KD set an SEC rcd for missed shots w 14. And I think every shot he took, TAM seemed to rebound.
5. Mentally , we know how to go on runs to get back in game. We struggle most of the 2nd half to cut it down enough (to 7-8). We started our run w about 6-7 mins left but we were so far back, it was too far.
