I would say these last two weeks have been about vanilla which I don’t like. Also, we rarely blow out these Alabama schools we play. I mean they basically ran the clock out down two scores instead of trying to win. Mainly offense was meh. Arnold is missing open WR. Also, our 3rd down defense was atrocious.

Disappointing for sure. Didn’t really like the play calling. Didn’t shine at all in the passing game. That was supposedly the focus of the game plan. Cam only had 4 looks. 13/24 for only 142 yards.

I get Freeze is holding back but is that a good strategy anymore? I don’t know, but I tend to think it may not be. We shall see.

Not to totally take up for Arnold, but there were plenty of drops. Why they keep playing Fields over Perry is mind blowing. Not only is he slow, he drops as many passes as the nail painting fairy at Uat.

I predicted 35-14
I knew SA would be tough having watched them against Tulane.
That said- they basically had long sustained drives every time. I didn’t expect that. I expected one or two of those.
I expected 4 scores through the air, not 3 on the ground.
So while the score was what I expected- how we got there was underwhelming.

My only knock on Arnold is he is going to have to make quicker decisions and get the ball out. He is not PT bad but he is second guessing himself hitting open receivers way too much.
