Negotiate a buyout and something to keep either side from revealing or discussing it further. He gets millions and possibly jobs in college football again. We can avoid looking like the total shitshow we are. Win-win

Take every goddamn penny from those vultures. I hope he gives no quarter. People need to be held accountable for playing with this man’s life and family.

I think whether or not he settles will depend on the terms of the settlement.

If they just call it a mutual parting of ways and squash anything that’s not true, and don’t confirm anything that is, I think he settles

If he has take to the bulk of blame and admit wrongdoing he doesn’t think he did, I don’t think he settles.

Harsin has some leverage but so does auburn. If auburn settles, you have to assume they didn’t have much on him. However they have waaaaaay more money for a legal fight than Harsin.

If they’re balking at paying him 18m, you think they’ll risk paying legal fees AND 18m? Again, if they had anything he’d already be fired.

But now that they’ve put themselves into this position, they will dig until they find something true so they can cheat out of paying him. That’s the point of the “investigation”.

I understand doing what’s right but are y’all Harsin fans or Auburn fans. If I have to choose sides it will always be Auburn.

And like I have been saying since last week no one knows everything. All we have read is puff pieces from each side. Somewhere probably in the middle is the truth.

If you love Auburn, that’s exactly why you should demand that they rectify the situation. Damage is already done, but come on, just pay the man his honest due, and move on. Trying to cheat out of the contract and releasing vague statements and conducting investigations and attracting even more media attention is doing much more damage to the university than necessary and you risk a protracted, ugly legal fight. They’ve ensured he’ll never coach again in major college football, absolutely no need to drag this out more and make him and his family suffer more.

Exactly. Pay the man or get the hell out of the way.

Maybe. I think the point is to keep up the pressure and avoid SACS-type issues.

I think the university is doing what it should. Unfortunately that could take some amount of time. But the way to do this properly would have been to can him for being bad at coaching ball and pay him the 18m.

And we might still do that, more or less.

Y’all speak like y’all know what is going on. What if there was some type of player mistreatment? What if he was doing something with the assistant?

I think the university should investigate like they say they are and probably why a decision hasn’t officially been made yet.

Like I have been saying no one knows the complete story so on either side of this please stop acting like you know what’s going on because no one does.

Well headrush might he been sucking Harsin’s dick forever so he would probably know if it had been in some strange.

Oh and you never showed at T-Bones today

I admit nobody is sure he did something, but I can't figure out why you are so sure he didn't do anything?

I think the fact he's still there indicates it pretty strongly

Because he’d be fired by now. It’s been 3 days of unsubstantiated rumors and nothing in the slightest to confirm them. This whole thing stank from the beginning when things first started leaking.

Yea, that isn't really how these things work. He's not getting fired from a lead fry cook job at McDonald's.

Even if they have some version of cause they will dot i's and cross t's before making a move on him. It is also possible they have cause but would prefer to negotiate a buyout because it is always cleaner and usually cheaper.

This will probably be over by Friday IMO. The longer it goes the more likely we will be paying his full buyout
