What's the deal with the OP in this thread?
Gets updated once a week after the midweek game

People saying we haven't changed at all offensively obviously didn't see our ineptitude against the zone early in the season. The last couple of games, we've correctly attacked it and broken it down. We just had some good shots not fall in this game. We also move away from the ball a lot more than we did early in the season. Yes, there are still times that it gets stagnant (mostly when we get a 10+ point lead), but we look better than we have.
I think we had a few turnovers this game caused by Spencer playing the 4 and not being very good with the ball up top. That sucks, but it will get better when Purifoy comes back. Harper needs to chill on the long range 3s, because they aren't falling regularly anymore. I wish our coaches would tell the players they're doing suicides until they puke if they take a mid-range jumper and it doesn't fall.
We are improving. Not necessarily by leaps and bounds, but slowly.

I think the frustrating part about last night for me was when we were on that good second half run, up by 15...we had a couple of opportunities on LSU turnovers to run it up to nearly a 20 point lead but we made some terrible passes in transition that gave LSU the ball right back and led to points for them. I think the guys slowed the ball down instead of trying to force a bad pass that they probably end up running away with it.

That's not really our style though. We want to push tempo. I know what you're talking about and it sucked, but if they make those passes then the roof gets blown off. It's also kind of funny because everyone complained early in the season about us starting to run clock too soon in games.

No, we haven't attacked a zone nearly as well as we did last night this season.

It seems like that's when we saw a lot of bad 3s taken earlier in the season.

I think the key to this has been Dunans. He has been moving better off the ball, been passing instead on drives instead of bad shots and has finished better on drives when he does shoot

I did not know until last night Dunans was Vicky Orr's son. That lady was a total bad arse. When she was there that was the only time the arena was full. And I am pretty sure our ladies could beat our men then.

If he would just quit chasing the ball on some defensive sets instead of finding his man

I don't mind most of his 3s, they are wide open and if he hits even 1/3 of the chances it keeps the D honest. Unfortunately, he isn't at 1/3
Not sure what our team's obsession with midrange jumpers is the past 5-6 games

Didn't you know all black people are related and know each other?

To be fair LSU plays terrible defense. Maybe worst in the league. They came into last night giving up 88 per game in league play

It wasn't about what LSU was doing as much as how our guys moved without the ball, flashed in the middle of the zone, and looked for open teammates.

Yea, to me it was especially the movement into the top of the key and passes in there to break down the zone. That's how we got a lot of looks early in the game.

Yep no idea why we struggled with that earlier, but it was much better.

I'd imagine with all the freshmen and new faces on the team, Pearl was just trying to keep it simple early. Since they've been here a while, he's probably implementing more stuff.
