So many threads bitching about him just needs to let lose, kind of like Lagway last week.
Ease up on the fella.

He got sacked in the double digits. It's not the whole problem but it's a big problem.
Good defenses have zero reason to not cheat up and make us pass. That's an issue that pre-dates Arnold, but it remains an issue.

Yes, it's a big problem. However, at least half of those happened because he held the ball too long. There could be multiple root causes:
He can't tell where the pass rush is coming from.
we don't have any open receivers and he hasn't been taught when the throw the ball away.
The WR's aren't running the right routes, aren't getting open etc.
Our routes suck. I think this is a high probability. We don't seem to have any hot read or safety valves. A TE or RB delay on some of those sacks would have decimated OK.
We have no ability to check to a run. Another high probability.
Also, overall, play calling sucks. We weren't that far behind but we abandoned the running game as if we were three scores down, attempting deep passes on every down. Did we even try running Cobb again after he ripped off that 40 yard run? It was obvious last week against South AL, we kept them in the game when we could have run the ball and put it out of reach.
Offense by committee. This sh!t is never going to work. If you've got more than one OC, you've got none.

Those that dare bring this up are shouted down and told what idiots they are. Yet, they’ve been consistently wrong for about five years now on most everything.

I would much rather have a OC a real OC that runs his offense and Freeze is player management as far as doing the right things, giving maximum effort. Freeze is and RPO guy. It’s not that hard to find another RPO guy with experience. Almost all teams Pro and college run some variation of the RPO. A few teams still use the air raid, and some run a zone read type offense. With some backside RPO mixed in. Very few run an old traditional pro style offense. Even in the pros most offenses run an RPO principle offense.
I can’t blame Freeze for wanting to be in control of the offense with his job on the line but would love to see after the season to go get a real QB coach/OC. New OL coach. And TE coach. I think Ben A. Is a great guy and builds great relationships with players but he can’t close the deal on any of the top guys he’s in on. This isn’t me calling for anyone’s job just need to make improvements all around. I like Chad Lundsford but he ain’t a special teams coach. Go find someone that has coached it successfully.

We don’t have a tight end that can catch.
One person calls the play on the headset. The QB is not listening to debates. Put the preseason trash in the can where it belongs.
I have a problem with play callers period. They get wrapped up in “I have 120 plays, flip a coin and see where the ouji board lands”
QB coach said I was a “Mean as hell QB” if I gained !5 yards on an off tackle dive, I would run the same play again. Once you stopped it. I had six other plays in the same series to run or throw from. Gus has the attitude.
I think he has a head problem and doesn’t have a Quarterback Coach dedicated to just him. He needs someone that he believes “walks on water.”

Offense by committee is the way to hell.

We should have sent 1 and 8 on go routes all game long and chunked it up. They weren’t playing two high safeties and their secondary sucked. They couldn’t cover for shite on any deep ball. It was there all game long. Then have a check down to the RB or TE who should Perry Thompson. Put 20 more lbs on that dude and put him at TE. I swear I could score 50 a game with these WRs

Doubtful…..eventually the DB’s figure it out and drop back ten more to get a jump on the receivers. At the same time, another doubles up two on one and too simple to chose who to double up on.
Simple on paper……

Hugh Freeze says Jackson Arnold maybe needs to be less "fearful" with the ball and make some tighter throws: "You have to trust your one-on-ones will protect you. Turn it loose and let me blame the receiver for not protecting you for being intercepted."
Translation: "My (our) play calls are always perfect. This is on the players."
