It's not a given that he can still produce. Hasn't played in a football game in over 2 years. Who knows what he's been doing in his "free time"

I was about to post something about this yesterday. I saw an article on al.com where this tool posted something about Dyer being recruited back to AU LINK. Yesterday it looked like he made the same comment about Dyer in a couple of different thread about AU. Maybe some AU fans took that and ran with it. Or maybe it's legit. Not sure.
I did come across this article from October too. Might shed a little light on him LINK

I give it the exact same credibility, which is to say < 0%.

In over 2 years?
It's been a little over one year since he was running the ball for Auburn.

Way to stick to your morals/beliefs fellas.
My morals/beliefs has nothing to do with who I want running the football team I root for. The question is "Do I trust this person enough to hire him? And if I do, is the risk I'm about to take worth the reward that person would bring?"
The answer to those questions for Petrino is yes, and yes.
The answer to those questions for Dyer is no and no.
Let's say one of my friends cheats on his wife and lies about it. Should I stop being friends with him? I might not agree with what he did but I'm probably still going to be friends with him. It's the same thing. I can trust people who have made bad decisions in my eyes and still stick to my morals/beliefs.

Let's say your sister was cheated on by her husband. Ended their marriage. Your niece and nephews lives thrown into chaos. Would you still be friends with your ex-brother-in-law? No? Well, looks like you change your views on what's acceptable based on the circumstances. So yes, hypocrite is exactly what I meant.
Depends on if I really liked the dude or was just friends with him because he was my brother-in-law. If I actually liked the dude, yes I would be pissed at first but I would probably forgive him eventually. People make mistakes. I usually forgive them but I might not trust them again.

Cam got a second chance and look what he did.
Dyer got multiple chances here, and then went to Arkansas State and did the exact same things. Maybe he has grown up by now and straightened up, but with a new regime and new direction, I don't think it's a risk we need to take.

My understanding is that Dyer was booted from Arky state because of the backlash that arose when details of a cops actions came to light involving a traffic stop. He was actually booted a few months after the incident occurred. There may have been other things involved that we don't know about, but the details of the traffic stop are supposedly what got him kicked off the team.
The cops even returned his gun, which was unloaded in the trunk. From what I recall, Dyer voluntarily surrendered it.

He didn't play because the NCAA denied his transfer.

Not exactly true. They denied his waiver to play the first year at stAte. Turns out he wouldn't have played anyway because he got kicked off before the season.
