Not calling into question your thread here but where did you see the rumor?

I only ask because AG is often connected to Danny White and I wonder if the rumor is based on that simple connection or if it’s based in reality

Maybe Gus can get the head coaching job and they can be together again

Tim Jackson can finally assume the role he’s been groomed for.

Sarcasm? I don’t know if you’re serious or slighting Harsin. I Iknow y’all sly dogs are always trying to slide it in.

I don’t really have an opinion either way on him. If he leaves I’m sure we’ll find a solid replacement

Right after we hired Harsin I had heard that he interviewed or was considering interviewing for the Northwestern AD job.

The fact that he's supposedly been looking should tell you something about the rumors that were floating around during the coaching search and Alan Greene going over the boosters' heads to hire Harsin and not give in to the clown-show that was being orchestrated.

If he actually leaves I can't imagine this being a "good scenario" at all. The rumor at the time of Gus' firing was that Tim Jackson would be named AD should Greene be forced out or leave. That would be a Jay Jacobs 2.0...ie: he'd be a puppet hire.

the radio silence the man has had since he has practically been at auburn. plus the various stories read online about how schools have reached out to him or he has reached out to them.

You're right. Those are just rumors that started for absolutely no reason.

Chicago, LA, Orlando

Maybe east Alabama just isn't for him.

I mean, I think Auburn is paradise but I've always grudgingly accepted the counterargument that it is, apparently, not the most exciting place in the country.
