You act like those are the only two possibilities. Ever notice how baseball doesn't have those issues? Ever wonder why?

I can't say I hate NIL, without NIL we wouldn't have Suni Lee or any other olympic athletes since they get paid if they win in the olympics. Somehow NIL needs to retain those people while also limiting what these athletes can get for fairness. I do believe athletes should be able to make their own money while in college, where as it stood before NIL they could hardly do anything legally to make their own extra money. They were limited by just what scholarships would cover, and not much beyond that.
