Greene goes a day without doing anything: “He needs to be fired. He’s clearly over his head.”

Greene does something: “Who does this guy think he is? He’s clearly over his head.”

I don't give 2 shits about AD Greene nor did I Jacobs.

Despite knowing that ADAG is trying to get the frick out of dodge I don’t see the dislike for him that you have. But then again you probably wanted Kevin fricking Steele as HC.

I think he is cool af and made a ballsy move despite the corch’s out there calling for his head.

I just can't tell if we're making rather inhospitable for Greene or if he just doesn't like the gig. Perhaps some of both.

That said, hat tip for him putting on a good face and saying the right things. I've heard people say he's never around and barely visible on campus - if true would change my mind but outwardly seems like he's still playing the part.

People can believe what they want to believe but I personally believe people that had thunder in their voice prior to Harsin are/were sulking in their egos and trashing the AD. Those people were very dangerous for Auburn. Eating a buyout just to replace him with Steele would have been a colossal mistake that would’ve put the whole program to sleep.

Good analogy. Steele WOULD have put this program to sleep. That's his demeanor and not what we needed.

Seeing how Harsin is tough as nails, seems to be what this program needed. Now we need to build on it with recruiting and on the field results over the next 2-3 years.

I haven't been calling for his head. Just don't understand the praise for him because he hasn't done shite. Kept the ship floating and pissed off every coach we have. Can't run his own department and has been trying to find any other job possible to run to. Like I said don't give 2 shits about ADAG.

There are plenty of cool folks out there that aren't prepared to run a mulitmillion dollar business.

And I definitely didn't want Steele as head coach.

I like coach Harsin hope for the best with him as any coach we have. I think he's a very good coach but my gut tells me he's not the coach long term for AU. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

Agreed. I’m not completely sold on Harsin this early but I do like some things so far. Time will tell and hopefully recruiting will improve. He’s definitely someone we need to give time. KS would’ve been a disaster for us as HC as much as I loved having him as DC it wouldn’t have turned out well IMO.

I hope so too. I believe idealistically he is perfect for Auburn because we need a tough as nails coach that can embrace the challenge that Bama and Georgia will bring each year. Sure he doesn’t have the recruiting connections yet, but I think that can be mitigated.

Agree, and AU is not the 30 year and retire spot for most people like Jay Jacobs, who outkicked his career coverage by a country mile. Maybe AG wants to be a GM for an NFL org? Living in a town of 75k is probably appealing to less people than more. I disagree but I don't care and doesn't hurt my feelings. He seems smart and is a good public face on the athletic department. IDK what all the money-saving rumors and things are all about, but they are weird. He also was hired by a President that was reviled and "left", so given the same circumstances I'd probably be looking around too.
