Most teams don't have a lot of fans donating to NIL. For the most part, fans have spoken and said they just don't want to spend their money on football players. Its honestly probably the right decision, but I also agree you can't complain too much about where we are. Just have to accept that we are going to miss a few guys strictly because of money. There's still plenty of talent out there though.

We literally offer contracts through OTV. If there isn’t a stream of money we can’t offer contracts they can’t cover.
OTV has done a great job with what little they have to work with. They educate and become another source of financial advisors to the players along with their personal agents.

Had Freeze hit 8 wins this season, made chicken salad out if chicken shite, I think the NIL would have followed.

Don’t disagree. Just the ones that we claim we want to compete with do. My 50k fan claim is more in jest than anything, but in reality our fan interaction is near the bottom of the country, not just the league. Hell, if we could get 1% of our fan bases doing either of the bottom two contributions levels, that would be an absurd NIL collective.

Been a fan for a long, long time bud. Graduated from Auburn. I'm not some dumbass kid that found Auburn in 2010.

Then we will be middle Tennessee state in 20 years.
There are some solutions that need to be made. Salary caps on rosters. The amount of money is insane. When Texas first started paying remember their first big statement. 50k/year for OL. They rode that momentum to get a class of great lineman that have taken them to 2 playoffs. Now 50k doesn’t get you 3 star players

Who questioned your fandom?

After a while you start to realize throwing more money at something isn't going to fix it. Gave a bit more each time and our record has gone the wrong way. To hear the solution is more money becomes hard to believe

I still say there should be drop boxes inside the stadium for NIL. Booths setup in the concourse of the stadium for NIL/OTV.
You have 80,000 potential “customers” in foot traffic on every game day

There's an idea. Put them in bars too.

Okay? I’m not sure where that came from or have insinuated otherwise.
Im just not sure why you cling to a self defeating argument. Hugh isn’t going anywhere, no matter how much you dislike him.
The one thing as fans we can help control is our ability to buy players. Better players can make even an average coach above average. If it still doesn’t work out with Hugh, then we are still buying players and have an attractive roster for the next guy.
That’s my point and that’s the reality of where college football is now. If we as a fan base decide we don’t want to compete in that world, that’s fine, but it only feeds results on the field and then feeds back into inability to get recruits and the cycle goes on.

We need to Tim Cook to understand how a successful football program helps our university and state. He is our Phil Knight.

I side with Poker on this.
The closing was complete arse.
Yeah we kept who we had the day prior, but we lost at least studs ready to play now. We also lost Marshall and he is the third highest recruit in Michigan's class.

It's a fantastic idea. Even if they got 10k people in the stadium to put a dollar in every home game. That would cover some, if not most, of the small time expenses they have to worry about and free up the actual money from subscribers to go towards actual NIL.

I actually talked with one the OTV guys about this last year.
I think someone on here even mentioned, as annoying as they are, the tip calculator things at concessions, but for NIL donations.

I've never said I don't like Hugh. This season was just unacceptable

Nike and Knight are completely different animals with deep interests and investments in American sports for which they get handsome returns. Tim Cook and Apple have no such connections and I will be really surprised if he wades into this muck of CFB mercenary funding.

I think he would have by now if he intended to

QR codes and just venmo donations. No reason to bring paper money into this.
