Great interview. Alvin seems like a kid that has his head screwed on right. Love what he said about keeping the class together and being told from the beginning that this is a true "rebuild" and every guy that has committed being bought in to building something better than what it is.

Great kid and a great interview.

Walker White is running the scout team offense

And I never understood that. Holden should be running scout while Walker is learning the actual playbook.

not enough snaps to go around in practice. Plus Walker isnt ready man. Why force him into action and ruin him

Exactly why the least talented QB (Holden) should be running scout

Nobody said force him into action, but he should be 3rd string at least.

He is getting the second most snaps on the team behind Thorne. He is getting experience reading a D. There is no downside for him. If you think he isn't in the QB meeting room, learning our O, watching our O practice......................

Id rather have Walker playing against our first team defense and Holden holding a flip chart

Pretty sure he is. Everyone knows Holden isnt going to play

For real. White being 3rd string and basically getting no real reps is asinine. Practice squad is absolutely the best thing for him right now.

I’m not sure there’s a right answer here.

White gets a lot of snaps against the 1s but it’s not our offense.

Anyway, I think/hope this is a moot point. You want him in <4 games, but not necessarily through October. Let’s check back in when it’s December. Bet he sees action late

It’s not our offense, but right now, I’d put a lot more emphasis on learning to read coverages and just getting reps an against the 1’s and 2’s. The alternative is him getting very limited reps in practice with the backups. I’d love for him to get game reps, but that realistically is very limited this season.

Gabe Gross would hold the beer, walk 2 feet to watch, trip, drop the beer, then someone would scoop it up and run 90 yards with it

Gross, Sean White and a bunch of other duds... but I don't know man, that loss to Vandy was pretty bad. I was there and it SUCKED.

So glad we got Deuce... hopefully he works out!

I'd still buy that guy a beer. He played his guts out.

If he went to that dump up the road, he'd probably have won a NC.

Chris Todd could throw the ball through a car wash and the ball wouldn't even get wet!!! I guess we just needed some car washes on the field.

What's the latest with Babalola and Offord? Does this give us any real shot at Cunningham?

Babalola keeps pushing the decision later and later. I'm sure if he picked earlier then it would have been Michigan.

Still pushing hard for Offord. I think Hugh has only really missed on recruit that he really wanted(Ryan Williams). You could say Juju is another one, but we know how Hugh really loves recruiting guys from Mississippi. Deuce and Juju might have been a 1a and 1b situation. Personally, I like Deuce more cause of the frame that he already has. I think all recruits are really going to help push hard for Offord and we have beaten Ohio St for recruits in past recruiting classes.

I think Deuce helps with Cunningham, but I get the feeling that he really likes bama. bama considered recruiting Deuce at one point to get in on Cunningham, but got Keelon Russell, who is another top 5 QB.
