Good to keep Lacey in the fold if Longstreet and others decide to go elsewhere. This staff is relentless

Akylin Dear committed to Ole Miss. Sucks because he was my top want at RB, but it was always going to be hard to get him out of state.

IOL Jacobe Ward said we are his leader.

The Auburn live guys mentioned that Dear would be an extremely tough get from the state of Mississippi. I'm certain the staff has probably identified several other running backs outside of Alvin to finish out or class at that position though.

Auburn has picked up some predictions for 3* IOL Jacobe Ward. Pink thinks he might commit soon

Has offers from Bama, LSU, Miami, and USCe

Sound like a guy who's about to get a ratings bump if all of those teams are after him.

Commits plus the heavy leans so far:

4* OT Tavaris Dice (#241)
4* OT Carde Smith (#262)
3* IOL Jacobe Ward (#571)
3* IOL Tai Buster (#580)
3* OT Spencer Dowland (#712)

This class, on paper, lacks a little luster given what we’ve done recently on the OL. The top 3 there have legit offers and I could see one or two of them making a ratings climb. We’re projected to take 5-6 guys this class out of HS so a guy like Micah DuBose could really tip the scales. Maybe there’s some flip candidates late, too

Previous HS OL:
‘24 4* IOL Deandre Carter
‘24 3* OT Favour Edwin
‘23 3* IOL Clay Wedin
‘23 3* IOL Bradyn Joiner
‘23 3* IOL Dylan Senda
‘23 3* IOL Connor Lew
‘23 3* OT Tyler Johnson
‘22 4* OT EJ Harris Jr

I was under the understanding that this was going to be top five class?

A couple we might have a shot at Babalola is one. His brother is at Tuskegee, he spent some time with Favour on his visit (both Nigerian). Being a new recruit Im sure he could add some insight and help.

Broderick Shull out of Oklahoma, he had Texas Tech at the top of the list before we showed an interest.

Josh Petty visited but he is on everyone's list. Out of Roswell so you know Ga is on him, and I think Clemson has been recruiting him for years.

I think he is referring to the OL, at this point, not overall.

Could be. We are still in it for 3 very highly rated OTs. We will probably take 6 high school OL and 1 transfer or Juco OL. Hugh wants 15-16 OL on the roster each season.

I would guess more along the 6-9 range right now in final overall rankings because we have missed on a few guys we really liked. But this staff won’t stop. To finish in the top 5 you probably need 2-3 5 stars and I’m not sure we get that this cycle.

This will be a deep quality class though.

Just got a Fong bomb for Shull to AU. On3 has him as the #18 player in the country.

Awesome

Like I said we are in it for 3 really good OTs. We won’t get all 1 is great. If we get 2 of them fantastic. Carde Smith is a hair underrated. Smith will continue to climb the rankings and Debose will continue to drop. That’s my opinion of course

Longstreet will be back in AU on Friday and I would assume stay for A-Day. Fong wrote an article on him and it sounds like A&M was the favorite for him, but AU has made this a tight one. He decides April 14 I believe.

Awesome, this would be huge. Like DuBose, this guy would be one that tips the scales from the OL class being just good/fine.

Also, I think Alvin Henderson commits at noon today. Naturally, he’s doing it on April Fools day, so I’m sure it’s going to go well

I would think Longstreet coming back this week coming up weekend might put us in the drivers seat with him. Obviously we can’t get outbid by aTm but straight up I think perception wise we currently lead.

This could be the second straight year we got our #1 target at QB. JuJu was our top target in 2026 but jumped into the 2025 class. Beating Clemson for WW and Texas A&M head up for Longstreet would be legendary. They've already zeroed in on Dia Bell for 2026. It ain't over but it would be amazing if they got Hasan.

I get looking at star ratings, but you have to also remember what time of the year this is. Alot of these guys haven't received a true to form evaluation by some of the top sites. If the offer list is impressive, that's a strong indicator that the staff has found a great talent. I've also heard that we might sign 7 OL in this class, so why not get ahead on your developmental prospects, and zero in on the Josh petty types since they're so highly sought after.

Obviously we probably take Longstreet if he's ready to commit, but I'm curious because we are still recruiting Lacey and Juju and Juju is for sure the type of player you save a spot for no matter what.

I don't think I've even heard Schull mentioned before today so that's a nice surprise.
