I mean, not necessarily anything new. Ohio State AD said something about this last year and has been going on for years, it’s just more out in the open now.

Dawg, every mf school is paying for visits.

And I would argue follow the visits is still real maybe not as predictive in the past but it still holds weight. A kid ain't visiting a school bc that's the only place that offered him some money that weekend.

Kid is a quitter. No thanks. Last thing you want is him coming in, winning a couple games and then threatening to hold out for more money.

I still don’t understand why people jump to this conclusion.

He said the collective didn’t live up to what they promised. Is that true? Who knows?

For some reason the kid winning a few games and holding out makes sense but the NIL collective saying you’re stuck here and can’t transfer is unimaginable. Even though the timing would line up since he’s doing this after game 3, letting him redshirt and transfer.

Except it is. This fact has never been established. Chex even claimed we dont, Bama does.

If he is implying that James Smith and Russau got paid by Auburn every time they visited he is full of shat. We have hundreds of visitors, some many times, we would be paying millions with nothing to show for it. There is a reason our select few boosters are very wealthy, and it isnt because they made stupid business decisions.

Now if Babalola is visiting with his family and has to fly half way across the country, we are no doubt paying for it. Same with Shull and others who have to travel a distance, with a family.

I think you still can. Visits are prob valued in the tens of thousands if I had to guess and every weekend these kids are prob looking at: school I'm interested in is offering 10k, another school I'm interested in is offering 15k, one of my top 2s is offering 15k, the other top 2 is offering 10k, and some school who's tryna get in the mix is offering 25k. The difference in money is probably negligible and interest level probably usually wins out. I doubt duece is coming here every weekend bc we're giving him 100k a visit.

Tens of thousands might even be a little steep

That’s called an official visit and paid for by the school.

Brother if you think broke arse UNLV is offering 100k for a mediocre transfer from Holy Cross I have some property I want to sell you... Look at this comp % this year. He's not enough enough anyway.

He said he got offered by an assistant coach, not the collective. So he's an idiot anyway because that's not how these deals work. His dad also said he had 25 NIL deals on the table worth 4 ot 5 times more and turned them down for UNLV. Story doesn't add up for a mediocre Holy Cross transfer.

If everyone is paying, they still have to have a reason to pick one over the other.
