Didn’t we have decommits this time last year?
I feel like we had about 3-4 in a month. Can’t really remember when but seemed like summer

Yea feels like we did. As recruiting weekends kick up, I’m sure some lofty NIL figures are getting throw around and reality sets in closer to signing day.

I’m loving the recruiting roller coaster. One constant for me is I trust Hugh to bring talent to the roster. And I won’t vary on my prediction before we started climbing the rankings in recruiting and won’t now that we have fallen a little.
I have faith that this class will be OL and DL heavy and finish somewhere between 4-8 in the team rankings at the end of the day.
Granted I agree on some points people make we need to have a competent offense a solid defense and to win some games. Outside of that not happening for Hugh and staff to fail in recruiting something else has to go wrong outside of what Hugh can control and that would be the money aspect.

Also want to let everyone know that doesn’t know there is a lot of power in the recruits hands now they are playing the game and all the coaches know it. However there are some schools out there panicking about perception and literally paying for players to commit. Not sign but just to commit to their school. It’s a lump sum payment for xx number of dollars.
Who of the ones that have decommitted from AU falls in that category I have no clue currently and I have no clue who might flip back.
I say all that to say the people I have spoke with have no concerns at all right now about recruiting. However I have to admit it’s only 2 people and not sure of their contacts within the coaching staff. So I’m fully admitting this could be total bullshite or absolutely true. But I do trust these 2 guys that if they say they talked to so and so I believe them

I absolutely believe some guys are paid to commit, and that will turn out to be the right strategy of we aren't flipping dudes in November/December.

Is too far away to melt unless we start dropping games that we're expected to win. We're trending up and life's good.
