That RB should've been allowed to swing at the QB for that.

Corch any concern that Faustin and Champ are too small to play S? Those guys are small for CBs, much less S.

None from me. It could be perfect the closing speed in zone if we can get pressure from the front 4. Only concern for me is Anthony’s health. He’s still in a non contact jersey

Interesting.. I can see this speed being a bonus, but aren't they both well under 200? Tackling and the run game might be an issue.

Looks like Durkin has just moved the bigger bodies to NB and using corner back type bodies at Field side safety. So you still have 2 bigger bodies on the back end.

I think the ball was tipped but Reggie Slack wasn’t a small guy. Doubt Danley wanted to go after Slack.

That’s was the last run before the Ramsey shite came out against Auburn.

As a teenager from 83-89 those were my heroes. Since then I’ve been the same age or older than the players. But those mid 80’s Auburn teams there were none bigger badder or faster. Coach Dye would bumble some in game decisions and cost us a game or 2 a season but Auburn was gonna kick your fricking arse even in a loss. We basically had 4 offensive coordinators it was a train wreck. Sullivan, Crowe, Blakeny, and Dye himself. The ‘88 defense is/was the most dominant team defense I’ve ever seen in college

Heard a couple of podcasters talking about the scrimmage on Friday. According to those guys, Jackson Arnold had a rough day and we could not run the ball at all.

Just listened to a podcast that said Arnold had 3 interceptions and no TD’s against the 1’s and Deuce had 2 TD’s against the 2’s.

That’s incorrect information. Arnold threw 1 interception. No TDs is correct. Daniels ran with the 2. Deuce with the 3s in the scrimmage.

The interception against Arnold was a deep pass batted up by the defender and caught by another defender. I think Robinson actually had the pick.

Jackson Arnold is the very clear starter. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise or even try to hint that he isn’t going to be. The battle is for the backup spot. Daniels and Knight have their hands full with that.

I don't think anyone is and wasn't how I took that comment

Unpossible. We don't attack deep balls in the air.

Who is saying he isn’t QB1?

No one is saying he’s not but the inference is that Knight is “out performing” Arnold is there.

So which podcast made these statistical statements? I’ll go listen myself and see the context of what they were implying

Damn, we are in the final stretch of the offseason. Now we are implying an implication.

We need the season to start asap.

1990 was a little bit of a step back, but they did ok with a Freshman Stan White. They were in a bit of a rebuilding stage. Then that crap hit. There was way more talent on the 91 and 92 teams than the records would have you believe. That’s why Bowden was able to come in and have such success the first two years. Then he blew it in recruiting.

Had the Ramsey stuff not happened, we were setting up for another good run in the 90s.

I think it was highside(?) sports. I’ve never heard of them before but they said he threw 3 interceptions point blank. They weren’t implying anything.

I’m just posting what I heard and if it’s wrong then oh well.

It’s definitely wrong statically

Every report I've seen said there were two interceptions but only one has definitely been attributed to Arnold. I've also heard there were no TDs by any of the QBs but deuce was the qb for the two fg drives so I'd take that report with a dose of skepticism

Damn straight. They were ferocious. We lost to LSU on the only drive they had that got past midfield. We just ate teams up at the line of scrimmage.
