if you’re done with the baseball program, football is way in your rear view mirror then.

Crazy. Top 10 program and people quit on it.

Coastal is a good team and good program.

ve divested myself from B Thompson. Be stuck with him and told myself who can we get that’s better but with the resources we’ve put into the program I’m done
its ok to be disappointed, however, we just hosted a regional and super with a bunch of freshmen.

I understand your opinion but bunting in that situation isn't a sure thing, at all, and is not The Reason we lost.

6 runs in the first 4 innings is definitely what lost the first game. Just got out played in the second game. That’s baseball.

Very good season considering we didn’t bring in a proven ace starter. I expect Butch to try to get a couple proven starters in the portal. Keep developing those young arms.

Not sure if a proven ace or not but we just got a commitment from C-USA pitcher of the year Drew Whalen from WKU

9-3 3.53 ERA

Also picked up UAB 3B Todd Clay hitting 361 with 7 dingers and 51 ribbies.

I think it was a very good season especially considering that we had to play three freshmen in the field and two more work he contributors to the pitching staff. Obviously I feel like that we are always one year behind we have a good nucleus of people coming back but obviously lose Dutton Irish and McMurray they will have to be replaced.

But hindsight is 50/50 and if we had bunted we would be making plans for Omaha right now, book it

Didn't watch a lick of baseball and couldn't start in the postseason for obvious reasons.

I am happy where our program is at. We are knocking on the door. 4. times in the last 7 years. Eventually we will break through

Better coached players, not better players. Butch has made some very questionable calls.

It's not Butch. It's Gabe. He sets the lineup and makes the in-game offensive calls. He kicked the shite out of it in game 1.

Is it just Arkansas that will be the only top 5 team to advance from the Supers?

Is the transfer portal easy to manage in baseball?

Seems extremely easy. I see we got 5 transfers which is great but its a thought nonetheless.

These kids are used to "picking up" with teams throughout travel ball. The teams are not sacred at all and there is no loyalty whatsoever. All that matters is can the kid play and available to play.

Makes it even tougher to swallow that the field would have been wide open.

Agreed, … I suspect that some are going to be surprised at how deep of a run CC makes towards a title.

Their pitching staff is elite …. solid starters, reliable pen, …. righty or lefty, loaded with arms. Microscopic ERAs ….

They stranded baserunners consistently throughout the regional. When they needed a critical KO … that staff delivered time and again.

There will be more teams left in their wake in the days to come ….
