we just looked terrible at the plate today. Let fastball strikes go and K on balls in the eyes or dirt. The last two games our bats cooled off. Hopefully it is just an anomaly.

Agreed. Both loses unproductive at bats.
My worry is our backs were against the wall we did every thing right for 5-6 weeks. Now we are clearly locked in the tourney and possibly a host. Maybe lost some focus with everywhere telling us how good we were and how great we were playing. It’s hard to flip that switch off and on.

Or it could be a couple of very late games and a quick turn around post the Vandy game. Tough to keep it up that long a couple of days in a row. Sometimes you can't sleep well in between for whatever reason.

Yeah I wouldn’t read into these last two losses too much. They were against superior competition than Mizz. We also went 1 and out last year and made to CWS. Team can use some rest especially the bullpen.

It really isn't about "do we deserve it". It's about how many SEC teams will host? We might be one getting shuffled out.

The SEC teams in the most precarious positions are UK and USCe. We should be locked in.

Agreed. I think a lot would have to happen today and tomorrow in tournaments for us to not host. I could see bama jumping ahead of us with how good their RPI is, but I don’t see us falling out of a hosting spot.

It helps that John Cohen is on the selection committee. As is the Coastal Carolina and Indiana State ADs.

We all kind of agree we probably should host. But it wouldn’t surprise me to be the 2 seed at a Clemson regional.
6 weeks ago we were trying to figure out is there anyway we could sneak in as one of the low 3 seeds.
I see us anywhere from the 14,15,16 of the 1s, to 1-4 of the 2’s
