meh. One starting pitcher being out has no bearing on other pitchers abilities to throw strikes. We have too many who pitch from behind.

Feels like so much of the early season is just finding which pitchers you can count on in big spots. I trust Butch

SEC Network, tonight, 6:00, a midweek win would feel good after the weekend.

Gonzalez, Foster and Pierce. Hearing Gonzalez is slated for a hopeful return this weekend. Don't know about Foster's abdomen strain was it? Still hearing Pierce is dealing with his hamstring. Really need those guys moving forward.

I’m sorry but it’s time for a change at catcher. LaRue is a disaster at the plate. He can’t hit a curve to save his life.

I’m with you. I get that he’s very, very good defensively but I’d love to see how many runs he’s saved us on defensively vs how many times he’s had RISP and choked.

And shockingly LaRue ends the inning looking at the only pitch he can actually hit

They talked about coaches working with him on stance and all this stuff but the dude just flat out doesn’t see pitches well. I’d rather tell him to squat a little, crowd the plate, and don’t swing the fricking bat.

Yep, he had a really open stance to start the season, that didn’t work and now he’s gone away from that and it’s still a disaster. He’s hitting about .075 right now. It’s time for a change.

That’s back to back outings where Allsup has been hit out of the game quickly.

Tech has some good looking and big players. Our guys look slight of build by comparison.

LaRue's hitting issue is flying open on the front side. Whoever worked him into opening his stance to see the ball with both eyes better either didn't make him understand in an open stance you close on stride.

I talked about this over in the fall about Nate being able to hit the ball to the opposite gap. It's never gonna happen with his swing. He can hit anything hard on the inner 3rd of the plate. Anything soft away is going to be tons of trouble.

He needs to work a more linear swing as opposed to heavy rotational swing that he currently has. Couple of mental things that could help him would be an approach of thinking I'm going to hit a hard ground ball to the 2nd baseman. His natural bat path would more then likely keep the ball off the ground and an approach to hitting to the opposite field would keep him flying open on the front side hopefully keeping him closed longer

It's going to be hard when we have to score 8+ runs a game. Our pitching is pathetic. Really disheartening with Butch as the HC.
