Amon and Davion was on the team that won the 7v7 tournament held at Auburn in the middle of June. Won at AU. Lost the week before at Troy to Thompson.

slight twist on the thread but here goes... With the potential of the ACC collapsing and rumors of UVA, UNC, FSU and Clemson having contacted the SEC offices about joining just how bad of a situation are we in with the current coaching staff? I cant see anything positive happening if he has another lack luster year as recruiting cannot get any worse.... It will absolutely destroy the program for 4 years.

The good news is, Clemson will once again be a middle of the pack team in the SEC. They’ve won a lot of head-to-head recruiting battles against Auburn in the past 6 years that used to be unheard of.

What we are going through now could not have come at a worse time.

I know it’s early and the list will grow, but it’s a bad look when it’s your biggest recruiting weekend of the year all the big dogs are shunning you to go to a school whose HC wrote a public apology for how badly they’re recruiting.

I thought only Auburn fans expect first year coaches to get out and recruit like their hair is on fire.

Russaw and Smith visited in June. Not sure why any of these guys post these lists 3 weeks early. These lists will always suck this early

That said, and I’m not the first to point this out, having BCW the first day that the dead period ends and every top school has their big event was poor awareness

Wasn’t it Florida’s coach that apologized?

I thought so that’s why I said a coach in their first year.

But no we weren’t to harsh last year and we definitely aren’t to harsh this year with the state of the program or recruiting.

Now this is my opinion and I know it’s hard to turn over a completely new scheme on offense and defense but we seemed to have done that starting out the season. But Harsin had a 9 win roster last season and probably still has an 8 win roster this season could be higher depending on how LSU and Penn State are on the year.

Cole said he doesn’t like Auburn’s chances with DJ Chester.

I’m not sure why people expect a winning season to change much in regards to recruiting, do they think 50% of our class will be flips from actual top programs?

That's why I keep going with, "winning will cure all ills".

With 8 wins there'll be quality talent at plenty of spots. And there's the outside chance these (few) commits may truly be the type/size/mode they're after. So not being filled up might be more strategic by sheer accident.

I could get on board with this if it was like 10-15 years ago when the big dogs walked late. Now they mostly commit early and we have 30 spots. To use for high school, JC, and portal that is if we don’t lose any to the portal. We need 4-5 high school OL. We need 2-3 portal OL.

For reference 22 of the top 50 on the composite 247 list have committed. 53 of the Top 100 have committed. Probably another 25 are heavy heavy leans already to other teams very few are open in their recruitment at this point.
