Looks like 3* DL Stephen Johnson (Arkansas Commit) will OV to Auburn this weekend

I’m guessing this HS class could become quite large if we’re potentially taking 3* guys like Longwell and Stephen Johnson

Oh, so we’re cherry picking years? I didn’t know that. Bottom line is, Chiz and Jeff Grimes brought in 4* and 5* talent on the Oline. Freeze may one day, but I was responding to someone saying we’ve never seen recruiting like this before. We’ll see if Freeze can get a top 3 class like Chiz did.

I think some of y’all are taking some excitement and sarcasm a little too seriously

If we’re going back to over a decade to prove a point on how well Auburn used to recruit offensive line then we need to move on here

No, I’m comparing Chizik’s first class to what Freeze’s is shaping up to be, which is the only logical comparison.

You want to talk about cherry picking, look at your posts. When you are comparing what Chizik and staff did over 1-3 recruiting cycles to what Freeze has done in 3 fricking weeks, THAT is cherry picking.

Added star ratings to the transfers that have been given one so far. Just something for the boys to gaze upon

Nick Marshall would be ashamed of you for giving up on Ashford.

Ashford is to Nick Marshall like JJ was to Cam Newton

Ashford has some heart and grit, I will give him that. But he lacks the mechanics and mental toughness that Nick Marshall had. Basically, most quarterbacks lack the mental toughness that Nick had.

I honestly still do not think people understand just how good at Quarterback Nick was
in that system

I think it would do wonders for Robby Ashford to sit a year behind a guy like McCall. Just sit, learn the playbook and mature a little more.

Clearly you have early dementia

Elite runner, big arm but lacks accuracy. That describes Marshall and Ashford.

That can be cured with Marshall’s secret recipe…

A bunch of my brain cells have been killed over the years, its true

Elite runner,

Ashford is not even in the same league with Marshall

Nick was inaccurate at times but he was light years better than Robbie. Nick broke almost every Georgia passing record his senior year in high school. He was not new to the passing game.

Certainly Nick killed some of his own brain cells with his secret recipe. I agree, Robbie may need some as well. Maybe I need to hook him up

Age teaches us a few things and you just notice things due to experience. Nick was not the kind of person that got rilled up easy and knew how to shake things off. I am not sure that is in Ashfords nature. We have seen him run his mouth, get all pissy and pout. Ive even seen him mix it up with opposing players. yea he is competitive but in that position, he has to learn not to be so emotional and my experience has taught me that is not a easy thing to do and very few every overcome it.

You are either overly emotional and use that or you are not. Genetics

Yeah, RA has a long ways to go to catch NM.

In fact, NM was way better than RA in their Junior years. Yes, RA has been through 3 years of college.

Auburn is working to get 3* DL Justin Benton to OV. He’s committed to WVU for now but has been looking. Another guy who has seen his recruitment skyrocket

Marshall also always managed to make the right read on the ZR. Robby has struggled mightily to actually read the play and not decide beforehand what he is gonna do.

It’s a no-brainer that if McCall wants to come here he will start day 1.
