Harsin did not know how to recruit the SEC, he would not listen to folks that did. Does not understand the value of HS coaches and visiting schools. Saban never misses an opportunity to recruit and they can get who they want. We made a mistake, lets move on. Get someone that understands how to recruit the south or at lease the portal. Harsin thinks he is smarter than anyone. Only a fool thinks that.

Yeah I don't either and you nailed it with your next part. Friday nights are not the only time to be out recruiting. For any high school with a decent football program in Alabama (and Georgia for that matter) to not have met or ever even talked to the head coach at Auburn is beyond ridiculous.
He's either an idiot who doesn't understand you have to recruit to win. Or is intentionally not going after kids who he thinks will be a battle to get (that's another rumor I've heard) and doesn't want to put that extra effort into getting the kid to sign on the dotted line.
Either way, he's in over his head and sinking fast. Only question now is: does Auburn cut him loose before he hits bottom.

Wow they left the team hotel in Montgomery and drove a few mins to see them. Every coach should have been there to show a pressence, dude should be there once a week.

You can’t leave 100 kids behind at a hotel with out some coaches there.
Plus your position coach and head coach should be enough on a Friday night game unless it’s a bye week.
Problem is they did all that then crapped the bed the next day on the field

Feel like coaches going to recruit on Fridays before games is a very common practice, especially once the team is at the hotel.
It's better than BVG sitting at the Exchange Pub at the Renaissance in Montgomery pounding beers Friday night before games.

Someone asked about the state of Auburn’s defense or the team in general and BVG very candidly said that anybody that follows football knows what’s going to happen next at Auburn. That was a couple of weeks before they all got canned

Harkless has offers from Michigan, Ole Miss, LSU, UGA and Kentucky since April. Obviously I have no clue which, if any, he can commit to today but he’s not exactly a scrub IMO.
A lot of these guys are transfer candidates nowadays and especially if we see another staff turnover. He’s a good depth piece with some upside

True about OL/DL but we are down to only a few decent ones left and lead for none. DL I have no idea who we are even going after at this point we’ve missed on 5 stars, 4 stars, even some decent 3 stars. We do still have a long list of edge players and a few a very good. Don’t know where we stand with any of them.
