Hoke said he had to leave early but that Geriner was running with the 2s and Ashford with the 3s. Now I’m curious if Robby was the one who leaked the news

Meh, people were posting to get your goat. Everyone likes Robby but we’re realistic about his passing and you thought he was going to make a miraculous transformation and that just isn’t in the cards. He’s a sophomore though so he has time to develop still. And I wouldn’t take the ribbing too personal, well go ahead and take it 50-75% personal.

No one was rooting for RA to fail, but his passing is pretty bad bro. He will have a chance to prove us all wrong and I hope he does because his running is pretty bad arse.

Robby’s OL did suck major arse. Ain’t no getting around that one.

However, Thorne just beat him in a competition and can actually pass accurately.

I agree with all this. However cherry picking the other way against Thorne is no different.

Just like part of my defense of Bo back in the day he has had 3 different coaching staff’s select him to lead their team.

Just the opposite for Robby he has been under 3 staffs and all 3 have chosen another QB.

That’s no knock on Robby and he’s an extremely talented player he just isn’t an SEC QB. I personally think he could go pro from the safety spot. A 6’3” 220 lbs safety that can run sign me up.

I’ll try to look for some videos from today’s practice in a bit. My sons dragging me off to the gym to watch them workout lol. I was like what why would I want to watch y’all workout. Anyway I’m headed to the gym in tow with the 21, 20, and 17 year old. I go to the gym at 4am. The 17 year old has morning workouts at 530.

I posted a factual stat, man. I didn’t come on here with some bs rumor.

They chose the wrong guy ahead of him last year, so stay tuned… Maybe Throne will play well. I have my doubts. Speaking of choosing another QB, he was a 2 year starter and was getting benched at MSU. We’ll see.

he just isn’t an SEC QB

He clearly is since he’s currently an SEC QB.

He wasn’t getting benched at Mich State.

I’m not debating every stat. Last year was the worst QB play for Auburn since the 2012 season. Every QB plays banged up. You hope your 4th year sophomore has enough maturity to handle not winning a QB competition and is ready.

You know I’m all for having different opinions and I respect yours on Robby. Kid is an Auburn Tiger I will pull for him. I definitely don’t follow the group think either so props to you.

I have a feeling Robby will have an impact on this team. My hope is it’s in a positive way.

His stats from MSU aren’t too shabby. I forget they went 11-1 with him as a sophomore, and he broke Kirk Cousins record for TDs

He's pretty good when he has a running game to work off of. His first season as starter they leaned on Kenneth Walker and his stats were solid. His numbers took a dip after Walker left. I wanna say their best WR was hurt as well so he struggled a bit.

If our OL improves from last year and the run game can be solid to keep defenses honest, he should be alright. He's played in something like 30 games so he is experienced in being under the bright lights. So I think that is a big plus for him as he isn't going to get rattled in the moment.

Like others have said too, if he doesn't get it done, I hope Freeze has the balls to pull the trigger before it gets too far off the rails and the locker room starts picking sides and chirping at each other.

How many TDs?

Thorne had 46 passing TDs in the last 2 years. If he had done that at Auburn, he would rank 2nd all time and only need 7 TDs to tie Pat Sullivans career record.

They chose the more shitty guy last year. Beating out Finley is not a very good argument to be the starter this year man. I know your vagina is feeling sadness today but get a grip.
