All have great upside

But in your words Harsin wouldn’t recruit DD.

Finley can get fukt

And Ashford might switch to a new position.

Look, I'll give you more details when I meet with Harsin this afternoon and he gives me his plan.

I think we're all making a comic book world out of what is going on. Mine is Auburn wins, yours is Auburn sucks and loses. Color in the details however you want. Calzata I expect will be good next year. We have experienced OL players. Great RBs. Good/Great TE's. We need better WRs, but Iowa State hasn't had a WR sniff their campus in 8 years. We can run 12 and 13 personnel.

Defense will be top 25. We will be in every game.

I am more optimistic, like you alpine, but I have to respectfully disagree here.

There is such a thing as experienced terrible o-linemen, and we have them...

2023:
4* CB Avery Stewart will visit this weekend
4* OT Zechariah Owens will visit 1/29

Should start to see a list of guys form for 1/29.

2023 5* CB Jahlil Hurley is delaying his commitment. Probably good news for AU’s chances. Coaches are visiting high schools this week before weekend visits are finalized

Need to harp on the fact Auburn has 2 1st round CBs the past 2 years.

Wiltfong on Auburn’s new Director of Player Personnel

quote:

In addition to what Keith already wrote and Inside Carolina insider Don Callahan reported regarding Steven Ruzic leaving the Tar Heels for a job in the Auburn recruiting office, I wanted to chime in. At UNC, Ruzic was the Assistant DPP and now he is the DPP on The Plains. He’s ready for this promotion. I’ve been following Ruzic’s career for a while. He’s worked under some guys that I think have been terrific in this industry. He was under Tyler Siskey at Ole Miss (who comes from the Nick Saban off-field tree), Gerrit Chernoff at Minnesota (terrific CEO of a recruiting office) and Billy High at UNC who just left there for a job at Tennessee after helping the Tar Heels land a third-straight Top15 class, this one in the Top10. High is big on the details from the evaluation and on-campus visits. I would imagine he’ll be a blend of all these guys while adding his own touch. Son of a high school coach, I think he’s a terrific relationship builder, diligent with evaluations and organized with his process. I like this hire for Auburn’s infrastructure.

Not sure why he is showing up on the AU site, because Schmidt was Malzahn’s DPP and left in 2019…..if I remember I think he replaced several support staff around that time.

Harsin brought in Ryan Smith from UNC and he left a couple of months ago to join Clay Helton’s staff

You’re skeptical of the hire? If so, you need to fricking detox from all things AU and recruiting for a while. I have never once given two shits or thoughts about our off field staff positions. Hope they are great at what they do but these are basically paid interns

Could this be the next Oregon to Auburn player? Would be a good get.
