It seems to me it would be hard to recruit a talented portal OL when he sees that your team is returning EIGHT (8), repeat EIGHT, offensive linemen with starting experience. They've put themselves between a proverbial rock and a hard place.

I think someone else posted it the other day and I'm starting to agree.. these guys are coming back because we missed on our portal targets. I don't think they factored into portal players decision to come here or not.
We all kind of suspected Caden Story to be out. Guessing this has something to do with Jack Pyburn just having his visit.

Caden Story essentially decommitted when he didn’t sign on ESD when every other commit signed. He had been committed since July so it was odd that ESD “snuck up on them”.
He had a productive senior season and I definitely liked him in this class. Others said he was pushed out. We’ll never truly know.
For whatever it’s worth, I thought we were better off with him.

When our program isn’t any better than UF’s or LSU then we can’t be surprised when a kid goes to one of those programs because their coach landed there or because they’re from there.
It’s why we got Oregon’s starting DT and CB. They had a coaching change and we benefited from the local pull.
We’re only going to pull replacement level guys from the portal until our outlook improves.

Florida already has 5 OL in stow for the class. One being a transfer from ULL. So maybe??!
