But if $1.5+ million is spent to do it, was that a wise investment? We have the RBs and TEs, but unless he has a proven OL and WR corp committed to come with him I think it's a bad idea.

A top QB would make skill guys and Olinemen in the portal take notice. So yes, it would lead to more offensive commits we need, and it would be a good investment.

I would love to think you're right. How many four * OL are in the portal? Or are you telling me OL from big schools who have played/started are going to enter the portal for the chance to play with him?

The quality of OL we would need to protect a multi million dollar QB is far higher than anyone we have suited up, and far higher than 80% of what sits in the portal.

If I'm wrong tell me

Wonder if the FL coach is about the guy that left for UCF? Commit the Oregon DB?

We are hosting 4 transfer portal Olinemen currently. Most of the really good ones aren't going to be transferring from other big programs, but smaller programs that have balled out and want a chance to play at a bigger program.

So balling out at a small school is guaranteed to do the same in the SEC? What 4 are currently visiting?

I see Caleb Williams is following O'Cyrus on twitter. Not sure when it happened, but since O'Cyrus has been on campus recently, he might be getting his thoughts and gauging our 2022 oline

I'm not saying I don't want Williams, I'm saying I hope we have all the pieces around him to allow him to be successful. That way we can get more in the future. Williams fails we never get another one

OCyrus Torrence, Mason Brooks, and Hunter Nourzad are three that I know of

Neither? You have an opinion. And opinions on what happens next season can’t be proven right or wrong until it plays out.

I’m not sure if that really means anything….O’Cyrus is being heavily recruited by Ole Miss too, another one that apparently CW is looking at.

Everyone is after him….has anyone heard what they feel our chances are with O’Cyrus?

Schools after Torrence are Ole Miss, Clemson, Michigan State, UF, and Auburn

I know Penn State, Auburn, and Iowa are some of the finalists for Nourzad. Mason Brooks might have the least impressive offer sheet with Oklahoma State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Baylor, USCe, and Miss State

Bottom line is that they’re all getting P5 offers at this point. We need to be in that market

This is why we didn’t take the kid from JSU that went to UCF

Well, for these guys to visit Auburn as soon as on campus visits could happen and not somewhere else, seems like a good pretty good sign.

I would love to land him and just hope we are ready if we do. Make sense?

He could part seas, walk on water, and make wine from water. All amazing feats. But no, I don't think he could avoid an SEC pass rush

Think about it. Do you think we have the proper supporting cast in place for him to be successful? I am not talking about RB or TE

So if he gets a huge NIL from us, is a complete flop because he is running for his life with no competent WR to throw to you think other guys will sign up for them same thing? Some of you are pretty ignorant
