Who knows about the relationship but we’ve seen it many times.
kids don’t like coaches cause they are being pushed beyond their comfort or are actually hearing criticism for the 1st time in their lives. Time typically helps.

Pretty sure that’s not Trovon that said that it’s some guy named Mane or something.

Who, if anyone ever associated with Auburn sports, does not love hisself (herself) some La boy Trovon Reed. He is our fricking poster boy for AU recruiting and I imagine he is working his connections and getting shite-tons done that very, very few people know about until it is time for us to know.
Love him more now than when he played, and I always loved him for coming to Auburn and playing for my school. That was enough, but that fricker is infected with some Auburn shite. I seen't it and knownt it. Trovon is all Auburn, all the time, and I fricking love it.

I literally can't understand your post. Like you post in another language.
I mistook a last name, and time and place. I had my mind on other things. If you couldn't make the connection I was trying to make (as others did, thank you), then maybe that also says much about you, or how and why we are different. It is not a bad thing..just different places, times, people and experiences. I am not trying to get philosophical, but for me, I guess my AU fanhood came of age with Randy Campbell running the wishbone with Bo, Tommy Agee and Little Train. Slightly vaguer memories of James Brooks (Chargers), William Andrews (Falcons) and Joe Cribbs (Buffalo, and later Byron Franklin had many good years there).
10 upvotes is nice work. All the best in 2022.
War Eagle.
ETA recruiting (dated, but) - Mom taught Osi, Marcus, DeMarcus, Joe Whitt Jr., Cody Core and several other standouts at Auburn High. More than anything, they always stood out as PEOPLE. Auburn people when they came home. When they went back to thank their teachers and coaches. To stick their head in a classroom, in the middle of class, and for guys like that, to do that ("Hey Mrs. Freeman. I just wanted to stop in and say hello and thank you.") Kids freaking out and shite and those former students coming back to give a hug and say hello says a lot. That is a lot of talent coming through AHS and even better, is that ever one of those people are fricking awesome people. Grounded. In Auburn. Our home.
No pics and no stories of teens being banged by Mom, sorry, not. She has long been retired and will soon be 81 years old. 81 is a perfect number, I will leave that convo for the next time you want to understand something, or anything. Some, or any...thing. Lemme know Bro and I will simplify your world and everything in it down to the number 3. Try me?! Go on errybody. Just ask. War Damn.

This is English, I think. Do I make sense? Is there a communication problem?

If anyone doesn't know who Charlie Joiner, Todd Christensen and some of the best of the very best at the time, just before Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and the 49ers went on a great ride (and throw in Steve Young because), you might be missing out. And RIP John Madden. Like so many have said, for this preteen kid growing up and learning about football, especially on school nights, John Madden was awesome. Keith Jackson had to be is collegiate soul-mate. Dad cooked popcorn in an old pressure cooker after dinner at about 7:45 pm every Monday night to get ready for MNF in his Lazy Boy (sp?). Good times. Good people and good memories. The older you / we get, the more we realize the importance of these things. There really isn't too much else left in the end I don't think.
MISSIPI VALLEY frickING STATE. Jerry Rice laughs at star rankings and such often I imagine. Brett Favre...? Saw him play is at JHS a long time ago, don't ask me the year. I'm better for that memory. I fricking watched Brett Favre play college football at Auburn (in Auburn).
Maybe it is just me.

Wouldn't mind. Considering our atrocious OL over past 5 years, thought our OL was alright

KN reminded the AU board that Auburn didn’t pursue Morris when he was in the portal before going to OU.
Id be surprised if anything materialized there

Found an article about his transfer - I forgot that we hired Friend away before he entered the portal (and before Germy Proot was fired “for cause”).
Wanya go away and leave

Despite an up and down sophomore campaign, no doubt impacted by COVID, Morris was still set to be a building block for Tennessee football trying to rebound from a 3-7 season entering Jeremy Pruitt’s fourth year. Losing the 6’5? 320-pound tackle offsets any excuse in Pruitt’s favor and proves the program really is coming undone.
This is just one serious negative in a series of negatives dating back to the middle of the season that add up for the reasons to fire Pruitt. Obviously, going 3-7 and dramatically underachieving this past year got the ball rolling. A wave of decommitments that undid all the recruiting momentum Pruitt had in the summer hurt his case as well.
Add in the NCAA investigation during the final regular season game, the departure of Will Friend and the hiring freeze and freeze on contract extensions, and you can see how things are coming apart. It’s very telling that UT would lose its offensive line coach, be unable to hire another one and then see its top lineman transfer.

Sounds like a possible AU compliance influence maybe?

Seems more likely that they just don’t think he’s a fit

Harsin hired Bobo and Friend around Jan 7th. Morris announced OU on the 18th. I imagine if Morris wanted to come to Auburn or had interest then that would have been enough time for his former coach to get involved.

fwiw, from a bama friend of mine:
Rumor making the rounds is that A&M spent anywhere from $25-$30 million on the class as of early signing day. A&M's donors were extremely coordinated. The coaching staff would identify players they wanted, relay those to the "point donor", and then that individual would work with various other donors to build an LLC that would sponsor the targeted player. To prevent portal jumping after year 1, they structured each player's deal as a multi-year contract. If they leave A&M they leave money behind.
