Do you know if we are targeting any WRs in the transfer portal?

Defensive recruiting looks way ahead of offense right now. Could just be the string or commits and %'s we're seeing, but it just seems like that side is closing better.

Theo Wease has to be the top target in the portal at WR

I honestly don't follow Michigan because I despise Michigan. Have they been putting any WR's in the league lately?

Wonder if he could end up at SC with Rattler and the TE. Beamer coaches all of those guys.

Less than Auburn recently. I believe he is originally from Michigan though.

I think them being the playoffs right now helps them a lot. He can join us and be part of a rebuild or go to a team in the playoffs.. Seeing as he isn't local and doesn't have any ties to the school. I think a lot of people in Clemons situation would make the same decision. Doesn't make it any better for us though lol.

I’m betting this is one of the biggest reasons Bobo was let go rather than his play calling. Harsin thought his deep connections to the South would help but they didn’t.

Eta: And why Mason was retained.

I would think we would like to grab a QB, 2-3 OL, 2 WR, 1 CB, 1 LB from the portal. That gets you close to the 7 allowed.

That is the number allowed for 25 scholarship recruits. I think if we don’t sign 25 any fewer then 25 we can add to the 7 extras as long as we stay below the 85 limit. That’s my understanding and I could be wrong.

Seems like a lot to get from the portal in one cycle. Not saying we shouldn’t shoot for that, just a little unrealistic imo. But I could be wrong?

Why do you think 7 is some big number? How many did we pick up last year?

Fair
Harris
TJ
Jordan Ingram
Knighten
Eku
Kaufman
Miller
DRob

Can’t remember if Ro was a commit or a transfer

I think the 7 are if we have 7 transfer out. And I think we will. Those 7 can also be HS players

But we’re not capped at bringing in 7 transfers

We still have the 32 limit for the class for undergrads. And grad transfers only count against the 85. Lots of moving parts

Gotcha, I wasn’t sure so that’s why I was asking. Thanks for enlightening me.

Well hopefully Potato Gang has been in contact with some guys already then!! We need em.
