For those who couldn't watch..

1st TD pass.
2nd TD pass.
3rd TD pass.
4th TD pass.

But really its bigger than these.. even though these are good plays and good throws. He goes through his reads, had really good mechanics, has a big arm, quick release, is fairly mobile, and generally never looks rattled.. it was tied 14-14 at the half, he came out in the 2nd half and threw 3 TDs and went something like 13/14 passing for 200+ yards.

Did you watch him play? Because most of us just did.

I said from the time Nix was a junior that his tape was chaotic. Lots of heaves, busted plays, and I don’t think he had a completion percentage above 59%

Way different QB than Geriner. Not labeling him a 1st rounder but not everyone needs to be compared to Nix

What about Perry’s tweet? Not nearly enough fapping going on in here in reaction to it

Yeah Geriner is completing almost 70% for the season with 36 TDs and only 3 ints. They are 2 completely different kinds of players.

Not to mention, he was playing against a Carver team with a bunch of guys with D1 offers.

I’ve mentioned it several times now

Wouldn’t read into it. Harsin was visiting and he was shouting out UCF and BAMA too right before it

All I'm saying is High school stats aren't a foolproof indicator of college success

Look at this tweet from a thUGA fan after the 3rd touchdown:

quote:

??2h8 @AllH8noGas · 1h Replying to @GPBsports @OfficialGHSA and 3 others How is it that the Cadets have a better QB than UGA? And it’s not even close! Could @KirbySmartUGA borrow #11 for the rest of the season @BC_Football1902 ? Never mind - @KirbySmartUGA wouldn’t play him because he’s too good???????????

Yeah but we’re not all talking about stats Geriner’s stats alone aren’t actually all that impressive if we’re talking about yards and TDs. The accuracy is real, though. and the throws are visually impressive

Bo had huge HS stats because he was the offense. He threw and ran a ton. That’s not geriner’s profile

You guys have got to step away from the stats and actually watch the games. Stats are often misleading. Watch the throws, anticipation, footwork, pocket presence, so on

Not to mention. as you've said a few times now, he's pretty much the only D1 football player on their team. Carver has a lot of talent and he still made it look easy for the most part.

Honestly, kinda like with Dunning, not sure there’s an impact this cycle.

Could Geriner be an All-SEC QB at AU one day? Sure. Some of you, however, are already assuming this will happen based on his HS film.

I am very excited for his arrival on the Plains, and certainly hope he turns into a stud QB. I think it's highly likely, in fact. But some of you might want to temper expectations until he sees the college field.

I would have thought Auburn fans, of all fans, would operate with a little skepticism. Need I go through all the "success" of the highly rated HS QBs that have come through Auburn?

Does Encye Sledge have a committable offer? Lot of moveable parts I know. But if Mbaa and Perry are takes does that mean Encye is on a holding pattern regarding the aforementioned, or would we take all three. With Story that would give us four down linemen.

I know LOTS of wishful thinking but just curious where Encye stands, kid is tweeting about Auburn, and his tape is quite impressive, moves very well for a kid his size.
