They don’t know if he’s quick enough, and also like the guys committed more.

Wouldn’t be surprised. KN is a UF fan and had mentioned in the last year that he isn’t gong to do this forever.
We’ll miss him if it’s true. He’s got the perfect demeanor to cover recruiting at Auburn. He gets to know kids early on during their HS careers and isn’t overbearing with asking questions and requesting interviews. A lot of reporters struggle with that balance.

Pierce Quick is entering the portal. He’s not a world beater but is a former 5 star. Definitely should give him a holler. Might help with recruiting Riley his brother as well. I would put Riley at DE and not OT and allow him to continue baseball if he liked.

OT Pierce Quick is in the portal.
Relevant for a few reasons. One, his brother reached out to auburn early on in the fall to let them know he was interested in playing football. He ultimately signed with Bama baseball
KN mentioned that they know a P5 OT with interest in Auburn.
Might be zero connection but something worth mentioning at least. Auburn is looking for multiple portal OLs

Auburn is visiting ‘22 DL Khurtiss Perry, ‘22 4* LB Demario Tolan, and ‘23 4* QB Christopher Vizzina this week. Probably will be more

Just have to keep in mind the Quick’s are huge Bama fans. It might be a tough pull but I’m sure the parents want what is best for their boys. Pierce has got to see an huge opportunity at AU if he wants to try to play at an SEC level.

I think Harsin’s feet is to the fire right now and maybe starting to understand you can’t just coach your way through the SEC. You gotta have the dudes as they say. It’s a good turning point for him if that is true. Now be thst relentless recruiter that you demand from your players.

A few reasons.
Auburn has finished its regular season slate and reporters know the 20-30 guys they’re focusing on. Easier to contact a smaller amount of guys. Plus, it’s all the coaches are doing now.
Also sounds like Auburn’s recruiting department is starting to feed media recruiting information. A lot of these guys pay attention to the articles and want coverage about Auburn pursuing them. Auburn is obliging
