Those numbers are ugly for sure but as someone who has watched countless intrasquad scrimmages, they are that ugly more often than not no matter who is on the floor

Wendell 1-11 and Flanny 2-13
At least they’re consistent from last season

KD 2-3 from 3 tho

Bruce Pearl mentions Yohan Traore and Jaylin Williams are neck and neck, same with Dylan Cardwell and Johni Broome during practices so far. Quality competition.

13th in first KenPom of the year. About where I expected to see us. Losing 2 studs hurts but most everyone else is back and we replaced those positions with somewhat similarly talented replacements. I expect another regular season with 24-26 wins. Ultimate fate lies with growth of WG Jr or Westry as primary playmaker imo

Yeah idk that I would say similar talent to Kessler and Jabari, but we are definitely deeper and more experienced which hopefully pays dividends

Talent maybe not the right word, but Traore is in the ballpark of Jabari of raw talent and while Broome isn’t there with Kessler he is more experienced and more developed offensively. Don’t think they will be all-Americans though but they can be in ballpark in terms of raw production

I'm making a joke. Scoper is always speculating or worried that KD is "in the dog house" for one reason or another. My apologies if I have you worried.

Not gonna lie, I get jealous of all these big games Bama and UK get to schedule in the nonconference.

What are the odds of Flanigan being in the starting 5?

>90%. He's the best option at the 3 until Westry proves otherwise.

I tend to agree and I'm hoping for improvement from him but it's a wait and see. My hope is with Jabari gone, he feels like he doesn't have to prove himself. I honestly felt like he was pressing and trying to "keep up" with Jabari and the results were poor decisions and turnovers. I do see a healthy Westry contributing early.

I think 15 is a good starting spot for this team

I think I'd buy into that theory compounded with coming back from injury and getting used to his body. Just needs to settle down. Let the game come to him.

I like that this team has some upper classmen. I feel like being so young hurt us in the tourney last year. With KD, Zep, and WGjr having another year under their belt and Broome already being an upperclassman, I think we will see some positive returns in the tourney if we can keep everybody healthy. We're gonna have to find someone who can shoot the 3-ball though.
