I have been very impressed with the new players. Broome (sp) is not the shot blocker Kessler was, but I think he is much better and more versatile on the O end. If we can have a few of last years squad step up, we could be really really good.

Broome might have the biggest impact for this team next year. He’s an elite shot blocker and rebounder but it looks like he will be a walking bucket in the post. Probably the most post production we’ve seen from a big under Bruce.

Right off the bat this Israeli team is good.

Their roster is littered with successful pros. This will get ugly but what an opportunity for our guys before the season starts to learn a lot about ourselves

Plus side no team we face in the next calendar year will dice up our defense like this. No NCAA team moves the ball this well.

Every time we commit they make us pay hard for it.

Yep.
My takeaway from watching this week so far is that we are going to win a lot of games next year. We will be next to impossible to beat at home (again) and we will at least win half or more of our road games. Our ultimate destiny will depend on WG Jr and Chance Westry’s ability to create open looks for teammates down the stretch.

That was a nasty bit of ball handling from Wendell.

I’m pleasantly surprised at this play and score

We have better athletes they have more experience. About how you would expect a D1 team playing a middle to above average national team.

They got some current/former NBA players so that combined with their mic man this might be a good early test.

Refs getting real ticky tack to end the half there. Not a bad 1st half though.

They’ve got the ball movement of a pro team, as you would expect. Plus it’s not like these dudes are just guys from the local Y. They’re plenty athletic too.
I’m honestly surprised it’s a tight game.

Down 2 at the half. Not awful considering how they're carving up our D and the (entirely fair) FT disparity.

Israel has missed a lot of easy shots. They move the ball very well
