AA7 I was joking. No one is drafting that dumbass. He will get a G league contract and either learn how to shoot or he will fade away and dominate the YMCA leagues

Nah I got that you were joking. Just wanted to take a minute and point out that he went to bama and his draft stock went to crap

Minnesota picked up some help for Walker by trading up to grab Wendell Moore out of Duke at #26

And what’s crazy is JD would have made a great 3 for us this year. Behind Flanigan and being the slasher we needed.

I wonder when Memphis loses will it be because TyTy didn’t play 40 minutes a game??

Rockets just got Tyty with the 29th pick. They crushed this draft.

I’m a fan of Tyty. I don’t think he every fully recovered and kept pushing it coming back early. Assuming his injury issues don’t continue, that’s a freaking steal.

Watch them grab Arkansas’ Jaylin Williams as the counter to Jabari. Both PF and very different offensively and defensively. Would be a great pick by them

Well missed that one but they did take another PF and opposite style player from Jabari

Funny moment from Walker's interview after getting picked. But the link is from Instagram, so I'm not sure if corch will be able to watch or not

LINK

Anyway, they play a short clip for Walker of Jabari giving him a shout-out, and at the end he says how he can't wait to compete against Walker at the next level. The interviewer then asks Walker to give Jabari a shout-out in return. Walkers response (paraphrased):

"Jabari, you say you can't wait to play me at the next level. I just want to say, the elite 8, state playoffs, my senior year in high school. Who won that game?"
proceeds to give a shite eating grin straight into the camera

good shite

JD ends up going to Boston at the 53rd pick. Ellis goes undrafted. If you told me only one of them would be drafted, I would have been pretty confident it would have been Keon. He's not going to ever contribute to an NBA team but he at least has the tools to be a 3 and D guy.

Social media. Yeah no. Lol. I can watch some from my wife’s phone sometimes so I’ll try to watch it then. Sounds like Walker and Jabari tho

Ellis is much better then JD. JD being drafted really really surprised me. This is a going off raw potential but crazy to use a spot for him when easily could have grabbed him after the draft to stick in the g league

The Rockets will be fun to watch. They were the worst defensive team in the year last year though. Jabari can’t fix that by himself overnight. Interested to see how he does against bully ball style 4’s. He held up better than I would have ever expected against them in college

I wanted Jabari on OKC but I'd still take Rockets > Magic shitshow.

His fit makes a ton of sense after HOU traded Christian Wood

Well you blew that one..

Why would you think JD would not be drafted. He had some great skills, he's just so green...

And now w/ Boston he's in a great position IMO...
1. He's with a bonafide winner
2. They'll give him time to develop
3. The pressure is less on him bc of where he was drafted and what the coach said about how they plan to give him time.

Sure the money is not as great, but he's still making a ton of money and gets to sit and learn on a championship calibre team.

It's just totally weird why teams draft or don't draft players...we think are sure locks or busts...

been looking over the roster and the pg spot is really worrisome to me wendell, zep, and tre donaldson. Wendell is a legit p5 starting point. zep isnt. and tre is a 3star wait and see guy.

He’s a talented, explosive guy. With decent size.

He’s Very raw.

In a 60 player draft, he was fortunate that a team liked him. IF he develops into a rotational player in 2 years, teams may regret passing on him.
Good luck to him.

Drafting late second rounders who can contribute minutes can mean the difference between hosting playoff games after first round or missing playoffs.
