If you look at his stats, they are not bad. He just lacks the ability to take a game over like Harper.

Curious what you guys think of Wendell Green Jr.
First you have to consider the step up in competition and just how much of a grind the SEC is now. Not just physically, but mentally that wears on you during a season. I think thats part of the reason he didn't play as well towards the end of the year.
Now onto his actual game. He's a pretty good shooter, who will probably only get better. He takes a lot of deep 3's and some questionable shots though, which hurts his shooting %. He needs to be better about his shot selection.--- For being undersized he's fairly good at driving into the paint and finishing or passing to a big man.. the issue is he doesn't do it enough imo. With his ability to shoot defenders have to close out on him.. if they close to hard he has to make them pay by being willing to drive the ball more often.-- As for defending, he's small so he will always struggle, but with another year in the SEC and coaching from us I think he will improve slightly.--- By far his biggest issue and, one that we honestly something we should have stopped going to, is his ability to run an end of game play. I want to say it will get better, but it was horrible. Most of the time we didn't even get a shot off.
Overall I think he's one of the better back up PGs in the country, but he has a lot of room to get better.

Mike Martin Jr was fired as FSU baseball coach after 3 years. His dad was a FSU baseball legend.
Just goes to show that passing the baton down the family line isn’t always the greatest decision.
Anybody know of any nepotistic coronations that worked in college sports?

I’m talking about handing the baton down in succession while you’re playing grab arse with random factoids.

I'm sure there are a few other examples, but that was the one I remembered off the top of my head. Doesn't happen often, though.

There was a short stint between John Thompson Jr and John Thompson III at Georgetown but that’s a good one

I was looking at the Orlando Magic subreddit to see if their fans were leaning Jabari or Chet, and saw this little clip of Carmelo Anthony mentoring Chuma Okeke: LINK

Murray Bartow's first few years were good at UAB. Kinda slipped into mediocrity after that.

Nathan from 247 posted a practice observations post:
— Traore still not at practice.
— Donaldson and Flanigan spent 20 min before practice trying to make a shot from around 7 bleachers up. Flanigan finally made it banking it from the side.
— Donaldson, Broome, and Westry have developed a good relationship and rapport with the rest of the team.
— Broome showed a lot of leadership ability and good communication with his teammates.
— Jalen Harper Jared's younger bro is now with the team as a walk on, played last year at Shelton State CC where he shot 47.5% from deep on 40 shots.
— Westry went 8/9 from deep during a 3 pt drill.
— He feels Flanigan's jumper looks smoother, but it maybe cause he hasn't seen him in awhile or a product of G league camp.
— in big man drills, he said it's clear Broome is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of post skills, Good handling, turnaround, and a nice face-up game. He said obviously they're missing Traore.
— it's been 9 weeks since Chris Moore's surgery for his stress fracture which is ahead of the 10-12 week timeline Bruce gave and was a full participant at practice. He had plenty of aggressiveness and laid out for an offensive rebound.
— Bruce said regarding rebounding " Walker's not back there anymore. if you don't get that, possession's over."
—Jaylin Williams vs Broome down low has been entertaining with both getting to show off their athleticism, but Bruce keeps harping on rebounding with bigs. Williams drained a corner triple on a great skip pass from Donaldson.
— As comfortable as the newcomers look you can tell there's more experience between the returnees with passing, etc. Johnson had a nice lob to Cardwell, who slid past Broome.
—Bruce is still grilling Zep for not taking open triples. He instead drove into traffic and had a turnover. Bruce is preaching about not overthinking shot selection.
