Good point. Would be a comfortable fall back for him.

Nyc94 and AA7…
What’s y’all’s thoughts on Peyton Barber as the center?
I’ve been ready to getting back to having interchangeable 4’s and 5’s. He is definitely not a stretch 5.
Heck I don’t care really the makeup of the players themselves. I’m just ready to get back to consistently able to score 80. These games in the 60s are exhausting

I think he’s a long term guy personally. He’s got to lose a lot of weight and don’t see his game translating to the NBA unless he’s better on offense than I’m imagining.
Maybe the most frustrating thing Bruce does IMO is his commitment to the old school center instead of someone like McLemore.

I still can’t believe we lost that fricking game as bad as we did after that first half. Mother frick

I’m not at all excited about Peyton Marshall. Kessler and Broome can’t stretch the floor but at least they protect the rim well. I’m not convinced Marshall will be a rim protector at all. And Kessler moved really well. Broome moves okay but I’d rather have a guy like Bediako or Mclemore or Kessler

Broome isn’t great in a high ball screen offense which we did a lot of with Harper/McLemore and some with Green/Kessler cause he just doesn’t move well enough and isn’t a lob threat at all. Marshall seems like more of the same

I agree with both takes and that was my thought process. I know Auburn can’t say no to a top 100 player from Georgia so…

Back to Yohan, I wouldn’t be shocked if he ended up with Will Wade.
If you’re a 5 star freshman and can’t make it onto the court in year one, the odds aren’t great that you’ll make much of an impact in a college basketball program. He is in all likelihood going to be a bust.

Alabama has beyond the easiest route to the final 4 as well. This day couldn’t have gone any worse. All we can hope for now is them losing to someone they shouldn’t
I’ve been drinking since 11am Thursday but I could go for a double right now

Been saying for a month that they would cruise to at least the elite 8. Their ceiling is a title and the floor is probably the Final Four now.

SDSU looks solid to me. They are a good match for Bama physically. Will come down to making shots

Bama has proven all year they are the most complete team. If they want to play defense they could crush teams.
Bediako is the difference maker his improvement on defense and his ability to not be a liability on offense makes them go

I think Quinerly is the difference maker. The guy just has a quickness that does well in the tournament. I was impressed with him a couple years ago when he took his team to the elite 8.

I was just thinking a little while ago how much better he’s gotten. He’s learned to just stand in the paint and be tall on defense, and then on offense he’s actually a viable option if left one on one.
The way you hurt him is have a 5 that can stretch the floor. You have to make him leave the paint.

I’m not checking because I’m lazy, but apparently KD and CMo have both already taken Auburn out of their IG bios.
