I just don't understand how you can play so well in the first half and like arse in the second.

I 100% think it was from missing so many FTs and it mentally screwed up the whole team.

27 point blow out in second half, I would say is failed coaching. Probably what Bruce would say.

But, what does a coach do when the team is that cold?

Can Flan and Jaylin return?

I don’t think so but don’t hold me to that. Same for Zep.

Those three were just too disappointing but I appreciate their services anyway.

Like Jaylin- great inside game/ terrible rebounding. I thought when Houston went zone and Jaylin made that mid range shot in the paint that Bruce was in the sauce cooking. But then Jaylin went back to disappointing.

Chris Moore
Stretch

Have to go. Don’t care. Have to go.

Zep Jasper is gone.

Don’t care what happens with Dylan Cardwell.

Return everyone except those 4, get transfers and compete.

Before this game and showing some fight, yeah. That 2nd half was an embarrassment

Poor showing no doubt.

This team was infuriating. I had to turn the game off once Houston got up because I knew where it was going. It felt like the second Bama game all over again. Same story all year. Houston beat our asses inside in the second half and made some crazy shots but we didn’t do ourselves any favors with our putrid shooting performance from the field and from the line. It’s been a good year by historical standards but not sorry to see this team go. Just got my blood pressure up so much at the end of games with our absolute inability to close. Hopefully we get some good guards and shotmakers soon. As great as it’s been having good bigs recently (no complaints here), I feel like Bruce’s system favors shotmaking and good guard play/ball handlers since he gives players a green light and relies so much on pace.

Edit: sorry for the rant.

Zep doesn’t have anymore eligibility, he’s gone.

Stretch, Flan and Jaylin “could” come back with a Covid year. Can’t see Stretch even considering it. Flan and Jaylin haven’t stated their intentions but Bruce commented they could come back.

We also played one scholly short this year to fulfill our NCAA penalty.

These are the main two that I will for sure melt over if they’re still on the roster next year. One has a guards body with a big man’s skill set, which is useless. The other has contributed nothing in his entire career other than helping lock down Okoro and Cooper.

Especially when the game is that choppy with all the free throws. It became simply, “make your free throws”

Bruce is loyal so don’t be surprised if Moore returns. I’m guessing if he leaves, it will be his decision much like Cambridge.

Even if they do, who’s going to shoot it? We just need to make it til the next year when we actually have some talent at guard coming in.

The problem with Moore leaving is that if he leaves after Jaylin and flanigan also leave we suddenly have basically nothing at the 3 and the 4 going into next year. I’m not some huge Chris Moore fan at all but if Jaylin and Flan are leaving I’d at least like the known quantity of Moore to stick around. Those are tough positions to fill completely in the portal

LOL Only Auburn sports can get me this worked up. I had us losing to Houston in my bracket and it’s obvious you can’t win in the tournament with poor guard play and bad FT shooting. Then they ball out like they did in the first half to give us hope. Totally expected us to lose, but somehow we do it in a way that is so frustrating.
