We are improving each night out since the debacle at UGA, WGjr particularly, which is a good sign. I still don’t think we go very far tournament-wise because we can’t shoot, but I do think we will be a tough out even for these top teams we’re about to play.

Agree. We needed to get these early road wins against these teams so it was a very good Jan in that regard.

Go .500 in Feb???

Id love to be within 1 game of Bama in the standings when we head to their place late in the season. Put some pressure on them. Super unlikely though

We seem to be getting better.

Flanagan has upped his game.

Broome was dominant yesterday.

Wendell played well.

Jaylin is smooth.

KD only had one drive that I did not think was realistic.

Cardwell loves this team.

Donaldson is giving some rest minutes to WG.

Moore was not in a sling yesterday. He warmed up a little.

The fact that we shot the 3 so poorly (wasn't even that noticeable) and still put up 80 on the road is such a great sign. Gotta stay healthy which will be really tough, but guys (specifically Green) look like they've been doing a ton of extra homework. And watching Tre imo.

SIAP, saw this on the utubes today and wanted to share. I'm not a Lebron fan but he dropped 48pts on Jabari and Houston after being reminded how old he is.

Jabari Smith reminding Lebron how old he is...

Wendell was MVP yesterday…he facilitated well and opened up easy basket opportunities for Broome. When he got taken out for Tre is when USC started their 2nd half come back.

Have to steal some minutes somewhere.

Green is the clear starter. I’m not saying Donaldson is great, but he’s gaining experience.

Is Westry done for the year?

Donaldson needs more experience but I love his game. He’s gonna be around for a while and we’re going to benefit from that

These are the words I was looking for earlier. It’s good to get Donaldson experience and grab some rest minutes for WGJr.

When does Moore return?
No sling yesterday. Moving around in warmups.

What about Westry?
Is it the knee or are we just giving up on him for this season?

I don’t think we see Westry again unless we lose several games in a row and just wanna try something else. Moore seems to be progressing, I bet he gets a cup of coffee in Wednesday game

We need everyone to continue to step it up. We have been playing some really bad teams. The gauntlet starts Wednesday.

I still have my prediction at 11-7 in conference. Should get us in the tourney as a 6-8 seed depending on how well we do at home.

My hope is 13-5. I think that would get us on the 4 line if we don’t lose to a crappy team in the conf tournament. The West Virginia game is very important as well. It’s not a must win but if very important for seeding in the big dance. Could swing the committee plus or minus 1 spot. Say we are a baseline 6… a win there could put us in the 5 line a loss on the 7.

Strap in it’s time to get serious. Don’t panic. We are in a good spot right now

Agreed. I’m excited though because I do genuinely believe this team is gonna compete and could beat anyone anywhere on any given night. We aren’t gonna be afraid of anyone, not at Bama not at UT not at Rupp.

Obviously don’t think we are gonna win every game but I think our toughness is gonna win a few of these tough matchups down the stretch and should get us to 11-7 to 13-5 range

The next 5 is going to be pretty difficult leading into Bama

Jan 25th Texas A&M
Jan 28th @ West Virginia
Feb 1st Georgia
Feb 4th @ Tennessee
Feb 7th @ Texas A&M

What do yall think our record during that 5 game stretch?

Would love 5-0.

Think 3-2 more likely.

This seems like a probable outcome. Could be .500, could get to 13-5. Anything above.500 in conference gets us in the dance, imo.
