Definitely. Baseline is probably 7-11, missed tourney. This is a team that can get better though.
Might have to bench WG. I sung his praises all last year and off-season but he’s been very disappointing this year. At the very least, need to see a reduction in minutes.
It’d be hard for me not give Westry another shot at some point soon as lost as we look on O. Whether that be at the 1,2, or 3

I think Bruce sent him a message tonight at the end. Dude was way out of control. Just chucking shite up and causing chaos. 2/12 from the field w/0 assts and 4 TO’s. Worst game as an AU player no doubt.

He could’ve gotten some shooters if he wanted to. He hasn’t put an emphasis on it and it’s showing. He decided to ride with these guards and we all knew they couldn’t shoot.

He has the same disease as KD at times he just has less chaotic energy doing it. It sucks because he has so much gravity when he drives and he has shown vision at times. It just disappears for long stretches. And he refuses to sometimes just make the easy play

He’s not gonna put a bunch of Lior Berman’s out there. Hard to find shooters who can also defend at this level. That’s why he was selective on the ones he went after

What happened to the KD from the beginning of last year? Dude was an animal getting to the rim. Now he does pretty much nothing.

It can get better but we basically have two near 5*s that are playing like zeros now. They’re not Jabari, Okoro, Cooper or anybody that has stepped in. They’re more like timid Okeke but even Okeke brought way more to the team in his first 10 or so games. Our hope is they stay determined and come back next year for a do-over.

They are so out of control and unable to draw fouls. Defenders just jumping straight up and not fouling.

Harken back to last year in Athens. WG attacked out of control, the play resulted in WG knocking the defender over- almost assuredly drawing a foul one way or another, but the ref swallows the whistle and WG awkwardly puts up a put back wide open under the goal to win the game. WG and KD(!) have always been out of control.

Somehow Jared ended up being the third best guard on that team.

teams know how to play those 2, and they are legitimately not getting fouled. This is causing too many TO’s especially for an O that is struggling

For sure. The scouting report is collapse them and just go up. KD especially. He’s going to create contact so teams are making it obvious that he’s the one doing it.

The guards are going to get it together or this will be an NIT team… we’re losing ground to Ark, UTK and Bama…. Love Bruce but we’ve got to buy shooters

Yes and the problem isn't fixable at this point.
You are absolutely correct.
Poor shooters don't just magically start shooting better overnight.
We will do well to be .500 or above in league play, and likely will get knocked out of the tourney on the first weekend, if not first game.

we just aren't very good this year. we don't have a single consistent shooter. we have a scrappy bunch.............just not a bunch that will make any noise. Hopefully we can get in the tourney. That isn't a given though.
