I will be the new IMG recruiter.

That is when I start looking at recruiting...

There is no melt quite like an LSU melt

A supposed “insider” over there is getting scorched for his failed predictions. They have a very good class but may lose 4 commitments today in Greene, Clowney, Burton, and Jarrett.

Gotta love NSD melts

Oh I know. Just hate seeing situations like this (even though we were the beneficiary this time)

It’s why I try to not get invested too much... at least until they sign, and even then they may never make it to campus, or transfer after one semester, etc.

Same.

Hard to condemn Cohen but not Height just because Height picked Auburn.

Absolutely. Which is why we need to try and not Pre-melt. Wait and see what happens is always the best approach

Kids are immature... and ultimately you can’t knock a kid for doing what he thinks is best for him. People may hate the process, but that’s on them.

Half of our top 10 recruits in Auburn history never contributed a single thing to the program

You just never know who is going to work out

Which is why I pay 5% as much attention to recruiting as I used to.

I was broken by some combination of Christian Westerman, Kiehl Frazier, and Jeremy Johnson.

I didnt condemn Cohen per se - he just acted like a baby when we wouldnt be a pawn in his game which I thought was ridiculous. If UM had learned of Height's games and dumped him, I would have had no problem with that either.

Main point is that these kids get this temporary fame during recruitment and some of them aren’t equipped to handle it well.

That’s all

At least Cohen was already trash talking us.

If romello was seriously recruiting Miami fans yesterday, that is wild.

If I see a kid with a couple lures on their Auburn hat come signing day, we’ll know why...

Same ....I used to follow through the year. Now I tune in today and a couple times during the year to see how we are progressing. Much better on my stress levels....and I dont have the time I did in high school and college

This is cool... but too many have this approach just to swoop in around NSD so they can bitch/troll... yesterday is a good example of that with the Flax kid.

Nearly 20 years ago when I was 10 and 11 I’d laminate all the bios I printed off. They were all going to be stars. My passion has only grown- just less pure and more cynical.

The Daniel Thomas’s out there keep me hooked though.

I’ll also attribute blame to ourselves. The ones that pay money to have reporters bother recruits. The need for reaffirmed commitments is OUR own doing.
