Just my opinion but I think a few things came into play... Garner is just good, Dublin Ga is way closer to Auburn than Miami, Playing in the SEC vs the ACC, Miami has shitty home crowds especially compared to ours and kids want to play in front of packed stadiums.

From the video it looks like his sister sort of nudges his mom in a very happy way when he grabs the university of Auburn hat. His mom looked relieved...

don't forget the tv ratings. 4 of our games were near the top this season (ore, ala, ug, lsu)
