I've thought for a while he may be better as a coverage safety than CB. He has good closing speed but is limited in his change of direction abilities. Usually why he gets caught grabbing onto WR's.

He definitely is. My one gripe about our defense is how our CBs play but hard to argue with the overall defensive results. I also think Steele's hand is somewhat forced there because we haven't brought in many highly rated corners out of high school and they are somewhat limited.

Jeremiah Pegues is the only one OVing this weekend. He has a game tonight and will be in Auburn early tomorrow. Will stay until Sunday. As said before, the staff doesn’t like to do OVs during the season because gameday is usually pretty hectic and less quality one on one time with recruits.

Phillip Webb had a good visit. He won’t be back the next two weekends but said he’d be back before he decides on Dec 5. That bodes well I think
Walker said he’s going to use an OV at a later date to return. No other info. He’s very tight lipped
2021 5* OT Amarius Mims will be back for the IB. He says Grimes is his favorite coach
KN said Capers looked like he had a blast on campus. Said he was the last to leave the recruiting center. Said the coaches got a lot of time with him

Cohen was at the game. He declined interviews afterward

Overall, we might’ve lost, but I think that game was a good game to attend as recruits. Atmosphere was electric in the second half. I’m glad the students finally bought a jacket.
