If we could get Jackson and Webb that would be rather amazing

KN says UNC is a legitimate serious threat for Zevian Capers. Something to watch for. He has been told that Auburn thinks we can hold on to him, but will take some work.

What the hell is going on at UNC

Been browsing a Steve Wiltfong Q&A. Not seeing much relevant to Auburn so far but found he answered a question on who he ranks as the most complete backs in the country:
quote:
I think they can all catch the football, although Lloyd didn't have as strong a showing in that department at The Opening Finals as he flashed at the Regional in Washington DC.
Tank caught it the best at The Opening. Was natural doing it.
I'd rank these backs Evans, Chaney, Tank, Milton, Lloyd.

Don Callahan, writer from UNC 247 shared this to his board:
However, he doesn’t feel the unsolicited message puts UNC’s concerns to bed. He is still concerned that Criswell is contemplating delaying early
enrollment.
What he said on Capers on the 5th:
quote:
Auburn extended a scholarship offer to UNC quarterback commitment Jacolby Criswell on Thursday night, as you probably know by now.
Shortly after tweeting out that news, Criswell sent me the following message unsolicited: "Nothing to worry about" followed by emojis.
However, he doesn’t feel the unsolicited message puts UNC’s concerns to bed. He is still concerned that Criswell is contemplating delaying early
enrollment.
What he said on Capers on the 5th:
quote:
The aforementioned Auburn-UNC entanglement overlaps with the recruitment of four-star wide receiver Ze'Vian Capers (Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark), who's been committed to the Tigers since July but officially visited UNC two weekends back. Capers and Criswell became fast-friends while teammates at the Opening Finals in July. That connection could work for UNC or against it. Coincidentally, Criswell made an overnight visit to Chapel Hill during Capers's official visit.
Speaking of UNC's pursuit of Capers, offensive coordinator Phil Longo is leading the charge. Longo's selling Capers on his development of wideouts A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf during his time at Ole Miss (both were drafted in the second round of the most recent NFL Draft).
This past weekend, Capers didn't leave Alpharetta, even though Auburn played at home on Saturday. However, 247Sports's Keith Niebuhr expects Capers to be in Jordan–Hare Stadium for the Tigers' mega match-ups against Georgia (Nov. 16) and Alabama (Nov. 30). That means he's free the weekend of UNC's final home game (Nov. 23 vs. Mercer). Following his UNC official visit, he expressed a desire to return to Chapel Hill.

quote:My guess is other schools have the same grade concerns Boom & T-Rob have.
I think it’s crazy not to take Tisdol. I’m also curious why Tisdol is having trouble finding a landing spot

He also said Jay Hardy was going to Tennessee

DL
Nazir Stackhouse
quote:The staff plans to take at least 1 juco DT. Marquis Burkes & Latrell Bankston are worth mentioning there.
We're kinda down to these guys and potentially some JUCO options

quote:EA, & George for that matter, are higher on the staff's board than KD per Keith. Sounds like the staff really wants to fill the last CB spot with a juco.
Kendall Dennis -- 1 of the two guys I think we could get and probably the one I want most.
Emmanuel Appiah -- Lesser known prospect, but if we don't get Dennis I think this is the CB we take.
quote:We actually would have room for his brother if we want him. The brother would count to the 2021 25 limit.
Ethan Pouncey -- I think he wants to play with his brother somewhere and we don't have room.
quote:We likely lead for him. It'll be interesting to see if we take him based on how other DL spots fill out.
Princely Umanmielen -- Not sure what to think right now since things are just heating up with him.
quote:We're still very much in the thick of it.
McKinnley Jackson -- Haven't heard any news on him in a while.. Anyone know the latest with him?
quote:A couple people connected to the program feel we are running 3rd behind UGA & UF right now FWIW.
Zykevious Walker -- Too many trips to Auburn and too much Garner. I think we get him.
