Tank has been waiting on UGA to stop slow playing him for a long time now. I don't think having another RB stops him from going there.. It might at USC, but I think he wants to play for UGA regardless. Things have been quite with Taofili since we started focusing more on Tank so its going to be interesting to see how things shake out.

I saw someone mention James Robinson too. I think Tenn and TAM are the two pushing the hardest for him at the moment if I'm not mistaken.

Gus finding DJ really bailed him out for the whiffs last year. He better hope to find another...
We got MAR too who will hopefully redshirt this year. I think he has potential to be really good.

Up up 215 lbs per Mark Murphy FWIW. May be hard for him to find time on the field though.

Don't think we are in a position for that to work. Tank is 1 of our top 3 targets. Of the other 2, 1 is committed to Bama & the other appears to be leaning to FSU.

so RBU struggles to sign an elite RB

I thought Caddy would help put a stop to that.

He was around 200 to begin with right? I think unless someone gets injured or people transfer out there's nowhere for him to play this year. Boobie, Williams, Shiver, Martin, and Joiner are all going to be ahead of him.. He would be a redshirt from day 1 for me just because of the depth chart.

There's like 15-20 schools whose fans claim RBU FWIW. Not a big accolade or selling point.

Also Caddy has done a hell of a job even getting AU in the thick of the Tank race in such a short time.

He very well may in time but he's only been a college coach & recruiter about half a year. It typically takes around 2 years of developing relationships to win big time recruiting battles.

Still not known what position or positions he will play. He may be in a different position than MAR.

I agree, but think he will still get some carries this year so I threw him in there.

Only Georgia could surge ahead during the dead period.

Recruiting is still at full throttle in the dead period. It's just not face-to-face.

They'll spread the ball around and have two go for a 1000 instead of pounding one for 1200.... ya'd think someone would eventually understand .

Gus' use of RB's and the OL issues going on 5 or 6 seasons are more of an issue than Caddy's ability to recruit IMO.

Only during the dead period do people come out of the woodwork to spiral downward about a crystal ball guess and updates on TE recruiting.

Gotta love the Aubie board this time of year

He has been putting them in the League. I am not sure what more a RB could want.

ETA Jonesy even emailed me about that

well other teams are pounding us on the recruiting trail for using one back until we run him into the ground until he gets injured while not playing the other backs in meaningful snaps . Other staffs are selling backs on sharing the load so that they can potentially be fresher for the NFL and not get injured as much. Not saying it’s right or wrong, just saying that’s the tools being used against us.
