Some (down the road) QB news-
‘21 4* QB Jake Garcia from CA will visit this spring. He grew up an Auburn fan because of Cam and he likes Malzahn’s system. Says it’s a great fit for him. He says he has high interest and doesn’t have any priority of staying close to home.
‘22 QB Tanner Bailey of Gordo is an Auburn legacy. His dad was a backup QB and is now a district attorney. Already a big kid, he played at 6’2 as a freshman. Already has offers from LSU and Tennessee. He talked about Auburn a lot and sounds like we’ll get him if we offer but he did mention “business decision” several times so we’re probably fricked. Says he follows recruiting so hopefully he lurks here and knows how cool CB isn’t.

I’d usually challenge this line of thinking. HOWEVER, he’s from Harbor City. Which is sandwiched between Torrance (one of the most dense populations of Asians in the US), Compton, and Long Beach

Justin Flowe, 5* LB from California just wrapped up his 4 hour visit. Says he’s coming back. I’m not used to so many recruits visiting from outside of our recruiting zones.

Gene Chizik’s first commitment, Izauea Lanier, was from Gordo. He ended up going to JUCO and re-committing before ultimately signing with Tennessee.
