Well, one thing is for sure, the kid will know how to run block when he gets here. Say what you will about Tech, but their O line comes off the ball harder than anybody in football.

Did anyone mention that he was All-ACC?

Georgia Tech left guard Parker Braun was named All-ACC on Monday, becoming Tech’s first first-team all-conference player since 2013.

4-star OL has 'a lot of interest' in Auburn (Rivals)
quote:

Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic offensive lineman Bryn Tucker is a top target for Auburn in the 2020 class, and area recruiter Carnell “Cadillac” Williams and offensive line coach J.B. Grimes have been making sure Tucker knows it.

“Me and Coach Cadillac Williams and Coach Grimes have been talking a lot,” Tucker said. “They have been showing me a lot of attention. I talk with them almost every day.”

Williams only has been at since January, but he’s made quick work of developing a relationship with Tucker. He didn’t waste any time targeting Tucker.

“Coach Cadillac messaged me on Twitter when he started at Auburn and we have been staying in contact ever since,” Tucker said. “We are pretty close now.”

Tucker, who could project at guard or tackle in college, also is close with Grimes. He has been since the two first met a year ago.

“I liked Coach Grimes when I first met him,” Tucker said. “He’s a feisty little man and a tremendous coach. I met some of his linemen when I was at the LSU game last year and they all have great relationships with him.”

Williams and Grimes are two reasons Tucker has interest in Auburn, high interest in Auburn.

“They are great guys and great coaches,” Tucker said. “I have a lot of interest in Auburn. I’ve been there two times. I went to the spring game last year and then the Auburn-LSU game in the fall. I love the gameday atmosphere. It’s big. It’s awesome. They produce good offensive linemen, which is big. And Auburn, you have Bo Jackson and a bunch of great athletes who have gone through there. It’s pretty impressive.”

Tucker has offers from several top programs and hopes to narrow his list soon. He’s scheduled to take an official visit to LSU April 5-7. A return trip to Auburn also could be in the works.

“I don’t have a visit to Auburn planned right now, but that could change,” he said. “I for sure want to get back down there.”

Tucker, who is 6-foot-5 and weighs 305 pounds, is on pace to graduate in December.

Hopefully with McGriff and Woodson we can keep working MS hard. Going to need to with Clemson taking our place in GA.

Are we supposed to have a good shot at Webb or any shot at Ratledge?

Phillip Webb? Thought to be an AU/CLEM battle. His dad went to AU with Garner I believe

Doesn't look like he's interested at all in AU. UGA/BAMA battle early

Sign him up! Every option we threw at C last year sucked. Can't have as much pressure as we did right up the middle

Some notes from Wolk from yesterday

- AU expects to have some top targets on campus the next 2 weekends. This upcoming weekend will be smaller but focused more on top guys. The following weekend will be another junior day

- OL is the priority this cycle & AU feels good about their start specifically getting Jernigan on board. Plan is to take 6 this class

- 3* OT Trey Zimmerman is expected on campus this weekend & could be back the following weekend as well. AU is high on him & would love to get him on board if possible

- Gonna be hard for AU to land an elite QB this cycle with Bo NIx coming in this past class. Some early names to watch are Robby Ashford, Haynes King, Carson Beck & Anthony Richardson

- AU is in a good spot with 4* LB Phillip Webb. They are battling with CLEM but he says AU is in contact more often than CLEM . Also Wolk was told by several people at Lanier earlier this year when he went to interview Kameron Brown that they think Webb ultimately lands at AU

- Tigers want at least one elite RB in this class would like to get 2 if possible but might be hard considering depth chart. The guy to watch early is Kobe Pryor

- 4* WR JJ Evans is a top priority for AU & is expected on campus one of the upcoming weekends. He's planning on bringing his mom who is an AU fan and a major factor in his recruitment

- 5* TE Arik Gilbert visited this week & for first time had both parents on campus with him which is a positive sign. However, Wolk seems to think BAMA is the current team to beat (personally I thought it was UGA)

Whitlow (So)
Shivers (So)
Joiner (RsFR)
Kam Martin (Sr though)
DJ Williams (FR)
Mark Anthony-Richard (FR)

Considering some people felt MAR and DJ were the best RB duo signed in any class last year with what we already had, I'd say our depth chart is well stocked. Don't let the OL issues cloud your judgement on the RB room.

Two things- 1) recruits coming in don’t care that much about the recruiting services rankings for the guys already on the depth chart. 2) our reliance on one primary RB probably doesn’t help
