The 3 of Shenker, Fromm, & Deal for sometimes 2 positions is not enough. We should really be 2 deep at both positions.

Okay what is Joiner, sixth on the depth chart at RB or an HB. How about the younger Brown, I thought he would start at LB and probably move to HB. We now have 5 people for 2 positions. Now lets review the people who will contribute at DT next year.... ..... ......

3 Auburn commits on Georgia POY watch list

quote:

It's still early in the season, but three Auburn commits are turning heads in the state of Georgia. Because of it, Georgia High School Football Daily, which covers the entire state's football scene like a blanket, has recognized their play.

Writes the site: "For the past nine seasons, GHSF Daily has kept track of some of the state's elite players in a weekly feature called Player of the Year Watch. This season, the POW Watch will appear only monthly. With the regular season one-third complete, here are the 10 players that GHSF Daily projects will have the most attractive POY resumes in December from the vantage of mid-September.

Unlike all-state teams, which reflect individual talents alone, the POY Watch considers factors such as team success and even position and recruiting status, things that POY Watch voters are biased toward when voting for these awards."

quote:

The No. 1 spot in the initial rankings is held by 5-star tight end Arik Gilbert of Marietta (Ga.). Auburn commits Kobe Hudson, Tank Bigsby and Wesley Steiner all made the top 10. Here's what GHSF Daily said about each ...

3. Kobe Hudson, Troup: Hudson, committed to Auburn as a wide receiver, is the most productive dual-threat quarterback in the state and plays for 3-0 team ranked No. 3 in AAAA. Hudson is 34-of-49 passing for 640 yards and nine touchdowns with two interceptions. He has rushed for 411 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries. He passed for 3,386 yards and rushed for 1,410 with a hand in 50 touchdowns last season.

4. Tank Bigbsy, Callaway: Bigsby, the top-rated running back recruit in Georgia, has rushed for 465 yards and seven touchdowns on 36 carries. That's 12.9 yards per attempt. Callaway is 2-1, losing to an Alabama team, and is ranked No. 3 in Class AA.

9. Wesley Steiner, Houston County: Steiner might be a long shot, but if the Bears - suddenly ranked No. 5 in AAAAAA after their victory over Peach County - can make a run, this is the team's marquee player, a rising four-star recruit. Steiner has eight solo tackles, three for losses, and one sack. He has 74 yards rushing on just three carries.

Worth noting, Troup faces Callaway on Friday night so we'll get to see the two 4-star Auburn commits listed above go head to head. Auburn Undercover plans to attend that game, which also will feature another Tigers commit -- 3-star offensive guard Tate Johnson. Callaway is the home team in the game, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Last season, Hudson produced more than 5,000 yards of total offense. Meanwhile, Bigsby rushed for more than 2,000 yards.

On Auburn's commit list, Bigsby is ranked second highest behind only linebacker Trenton Simpson. Hudson is the fourth highest.

Been exclusively at RB since Fall Camp started.

How about the younger Brown,
Exclusively at LB right now. Reports are he is progressing well there.

We now have 5 people for 2 positions.
Again it's 3 after this year as things stand now. And with the staff so dead set to take a TE in this class it may mean there are no plans to move Joiner or Brown.

What will happen Saturday? Recruits give their predictions

quote:

It's Week 4 for the Auburn Tigers (now 3-0 after beating Kent State last Saturday) and as usual we've reached out to some notable recruits -- commits and targets -- to get their thoughts on Saturday's game against Texas A&M. We're mixing it up this year. Instead of just getting a winner, we'll be asking four questions each week.

This week's questions are:
1. Who wins: Auburn or Texas A&M — and what will the score be?

2. Which offense will produce the most total yards and why?
3. Can Auburn sack Aggies quarterback Kellen Mond three or more times?

4. What is the key to the game for the Tigers?

quote:

Kobe Hudson, WR commit, LaGrange (Ga.) Troup County: Hudson, who has more than 6,000 total yards of offense combined the last two seasons, committed to the Tigers way back in 2018. He's a top-100 recruit and an All-American Bowl selection for the 2020 game.

1. AU

2. Auburn ... because they are starting to click as a team

3. Yessir, of course.

4. Play good, solid defense and get the passing game going.

quote:

Tate Johnson, OL commit, Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway. He committed to Auburn over the summer.

1. I know Kyle Field is an intimidating and tough place for opposing teams and I think that plays a factor. However, there is no question everybody is very skeptical of Auburn as of now. The players in that lockerroom hear that noise and I'm sure they want to silence some of the critics. It wont be easy, but I think they come out Saturday wanting to make a statement to the critics, and the college football world and earn the big W on the road.

2. I think Auburn will produce more total yards on offense because we have to in order to get the W. Our offense must find a rhythm and be able to put up points on the road in that hostile environment. I think the offensive line is getting better with each week so I'm excited to see what they do on Saturday.

3. Yes, A&M only has one senior on its offensive line, so I look for our veteran D-line to come up with some huge plays against their somewhat inexperienced O-Line. I think they will get Mond on the ground around four to five times, maybe even more.

4. I think the major key to this game is going to be establishing a run game early. This is Bo Nix's first SEC road game and it's coming at a place like Kyle Field. Our -O-Line has to establish dominance and get the running game going to give Bo a little something to lean on. Like I said, I think our OL is getting better each week so I'm excited to see what they do on Saturday.

quote:

Ze'Vian Capers, WR commit, Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark.

Capers, who committed to Auburn this summer, is the No. 116 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite, and checks in as the No. 25 receiver prospect nationally. At one time, he was committed to Arkansas. But the Tigers made a major push for him in May and June and ultimately flipped him while he was competing at The Opening Finals in Texas. He's already off to a strong start in 2019.

1. 27-14 Auburn.

2. Auburn 'cause of their speed and tempo.

3. Yeah

4. Establishing the line of scrimmage

quote:

Micah Morris, 4-star 2021 offensive tackle, Camden County (Ga.).

Morris is one of Auburn's biggest junior targets. He's the No. 6 offensive tackle in the country for 2021 in the industry generated 247Sports Composite and is 36th overall among all prospects. Look for Morris to visit the Tigers again in the very near future.

1. AU, 35- 24.

2. Auburn will produce the most yards because of the talent they have offensively.

3. I believe Auburn can get to the quarterback because of their huge D-line this year.

4. The key to the game in my opinion is to stay focused, and once a lead is built, don't let up.

quote:

Aaron McLaughlin, 2021 QB commit, Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark.

A 4-star recruit, he chose the Tigers in late July. McLaughlin is the No. 11 pro-style quarterback in the country for the junior class and is No. 178 overall in the 2021 rankings. McLaughlin is 24-of-39 passing for 292 yards, five touchdowns and one interception in two games this season.

1. Auburn wins, I say 24-17.

2. Auburn for sure. I think they are getting in sync.

3. Definitely think they can.

4. I think the offense has got to score points for Auburn to win.

quote:

Javion Cohen, offensive tackle commit, Phenix City (Ala.) Central.

Which player got Auburn's red-hot summer on the recruiting trail started? Cohen. Before he committed to the Tigers on June 1, Auburn had the No. 29 recruiting class in the country. Today, the Tigers check in at No. 7 in the rankings. Cohen is the No. 25 tackle recruit in the nation.

1. Auburn 24-21.

2. The Auburn offense (will have more) because of running the ball.

3. I believe we get four sacks -- two from Marlon Davidson, one from Nick Coe and one from from Big Kat Bryant.

4. Our keys to the game are to control the clock and keep the defense off the field.

quote:

2021 defensive end Jeremiah Williams, Birmingham (Ala) Ramsay.

Williams is a name Auburn fans should know. He's the No. 5 junior recruit in the state of Alabama, the No. 9 weak-side end in the country and the No. 155 overall recruit-- and he attended the Auburn-Tulane game earlier this month. Williams grew up a Tigers fan. Look for him to attend many more games at Jordan-Hare Stadium this season and in 2020.

1. Auburn 35-24

2. Auburn.

3. I hope so.

4. Keep the offense rolling -- put points up as fast as possible

quote:

Jeremiah Wright, offensive tackle commit, Selma (Ala.):

Wright, an under-the-radar offensive tackle/guard, committed to Auburn the last weekend in July. He's a 3-star recruit but a player of high value to the Auburn staff. At Selma, Wright plays on both sides of the ball -- and is very good on both offense and defense. In college, he can put all of his focus into playing on the offensive line. The Tigers coaching staff attended his game last week.

1. Auburn, 45-13

2. Auburn bcause of great O-Line blocking.

3. Yes.

4. Be disciplined.

quote:

Daniel Foster-Allen, DE/DT, Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's Episcopal:
Foster-Allen might be the least talked about Auburn commitment but he is having a strong season and sources tell us the Tigers love his upside. He's a 3-star with the potential to get a bump should he continue to play at a high level in 2019.

1. I have AU with a score of 23-17.

2. I have Auburn having a monster running game so I pick Auburn.

3. Five sacks.

4. The key is to finish drives offensively and defensively.

quote:

Chris Thompson Jr., safety commit, Duncanville (Texas).

Thompson picked the Tigers over Texas in August in what many called a recruiting shocker. He's a 4-star recruit who plays for one of the top teams in the country.

1. AU in a close game.

2. Auburn. I feel Bo & Seth (Williams) will have a good connection game.

3. The Auburn D-Line is full of dogs, so I believe they'll have a party in the backfield.

4. They key is to stay consistent ... the game will come down to the wire.

quote:

Trenton Simpson, linebacker commit, Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek.

Simpson, a 5-star in the 247Sports rankings, is Auburn's highest-rated commitment. He chose the Tigers over Georgia and North Carolina this summer. Simpson attended last week's Auburn-Kent State game.

1. Auburn wins.

2. Auburn will produce the most offensive total yards because its run game will open up lanes for Bo Nix to throw one-on-ones and the receivers will make big plays.

3. Yes sir, I believe maybe even five sacks.

4. The key to Auburn winning the football game is making big plays on offense and defense -- make big stops when needed.

High ankle sprain i believe is the worst sprain, and could keep him out up to 4-6 weeks.

ankle break? That is 6-12 weeks...

Ligaments worry me. Very interested to see how Goodwin recovers but ankle sprains or even a minor fracture doesn’t concern me. That’s rest that that Tank gets before arriving at Auburn where it looks like he’ll be needed next season
