We don't suck but our talent level is not even close in baseball to the talent on other SEC teams. We will always have a good pitching staff as long as Butch is here and defense will be solid because of pitching. We seriously don't have the talent across the board. This past cycle we didn't have a single player ranked in the top 100. Vandy signed 11 that were in the top 100.
This years class, Pico Kahn, Mikey Fowler, and Samuel Dutton all great in state players that go to MSU and LSU.

Sorry double post. I usually don't comment on AU baseball because I am a baseball coach. But until the recruiting is fair between different states with education lotto's and those without Alabama and Auburn will suffer greatly in talent level. We just can't offer the same things as some others.

So Vandy had 11 top 100 players that actually went to college and didn’t go pro?
I would think a ton of top 100 prospects would never wear a college uniform

It seems the hang up on the lottery other than morality police is how and where to distribute the revenue.. general fund? Education?

You definitely don’t want any lotto money going to the general fund. It’s nothing but a slush fund for political kickbacks for contracts and stuff. Please provide a lotto half for education and half for infrastructure.

Any idea why we are playing 2 midweek games the week we start conference play?

Yeah there isn't any reason to not play more games. More live batting and pitching to see only helps.
