There is no way to sugarcoat it; Gus cannot afford to miss on Bell and Henry. When he personally visits them he needs to put his big girl panties on and sell sand in a sandstorm if he has to.

2011 all over again. Only this time we are losing 3 stars to FSU instead of 5 stars.

Other than the fact we actually have some good players already signed, it appears it’s going to be a very anticlimactic NSD.

FSU has been shite on the Oline for the past few years. They have nothing to sell these kids that we don't. Our staff is just getting it handed to them in Oline recruiting. No idea how JB survives this.

FWIW AU24 got a long break handed to him for blatantly trolling threads on this board. You might consider being more subtle

I have no idea how he survived already. Oline recruiting is going to cost this whole staff their jobs.

Yep, Gus is risking his entire coaching career on a coach who is a shitty recruiter. It’s gomna blow up on his face.

FWIW the 247 insider most connected to Henry says he's sticking with his AU CB for now. Did say that FSU has made this a neck & neck race but pointed out that they have more OL committed right now including a JUCO OT

John Garcia, the guy that covers AL recruiting for 247, put in a CB for AU to flip LeDarrius Cox

How is that trolling? Did we not get our arse kicked in recruiting in 2011 by FSU? Are these not 3 stars we are losing to FSU?

Jones don’t you be advocating for a sunshine pumping echo chamber now. Gus’s misses on OL recruiting since Martez Ivey is the reason why we are in this mess.

It really is unvelievable the he hadn’t brought in a strong reputable OL coach to shore up our biggest atea of need. I can understand the hurdles this year but the change sjould have been made last yr. Arrogance, stubbornness or stupidity.

Bama 247 recruiting reporter Hank South put in a CB for Bama to flip 2020 AU commit 4* Buck Quandarrius Robinson

KN says that AU's performance this past year did really hurt & Bama is a legit threat

No it's not. Here is a picture of Gus' coaches tree.

I called our OL recruiting a disaster in this same thread yesterday.

Some sunshine after the rain incoming....

Who signs where? Checking in on Auburn's top 12 remaining targets (Rivals)
quote:

AUBURN — A week from Tuesday, unsigned college football recruits across the country will gear up for their final 24 hours on the market.

With a week to go, some prospects will take their last official visits of the cycle. Others will host coaches on in-home visits leading up to Sunday night when face-to-face contact comes to a halt before National Signing Day.

It's possible Auburn adds a target or two in the next few days, but the Tigers' board is taking shape. Below are the 12 prospects most strongly considering Auburn who have taken official visits to the Plains. I break down where I expect each of those programs to sign and who is in the best position to change that before signing day.

3* OG Kamaar Bell

This is a two-team race. Despite Bell's rave reviews of Tallahassee this weekend, I actually view this as Auburn's race that Florida State is trying to survive in. Auburn has made it clear the Tigers want Bell to play center at the next level, and Bell loves that pitch. The Tigers have been around this recruitment for a long, long time and, dating back to the summer, the team Auburn was most worried about pushing was Alabama. That hasn't happened. Florida State has given a valiant effort, but it won't likely be enough.

Prediction: Auburn

Biggest threat: Florida State
